127.4 - down a smidge. Food a little better yesterday and 15,000 steps. Did 4 miles in the morning with some jogging intervals and a 20=30 minute husband/dog walk after dinner. Got to walk those husbands ya know!

Work today and scout meeting tonight. Weather continues to be beautiful! Lots of grad partys coming up in the next several weeks!

Have a Marvelous Monday My Mighty Motivated Musketeers!

Very frustrated.  Weight skyrocketed to 157.6 this morning--that's 3.6 higher than 10 days ago!  I thought the 2lbs. might be water weight, but instead of coming off, it added to!

I did not track my calories this weekend, but it is impossible for me to believe that in the last 10 days I have consumed that many calories over and above my maintenance level, especially when M-F I was eating less than 1000!!  I did go to my niece's first birthday party which coincides with my twin nieces' birthday (3 girls, born 1 day apart!).  But the food was Zoe's kitchen, so my lunch was a chicken kebab, and I split a thin piece of cake with my sister.  The only thing that makes any sense at all is that I'm holding onto weight because I had alcohol for the first time in several weeks.  I had 4 drinks at the pool and then skipped dinner Saturday.  Yes perhaps that day my calories were over the limit.  But not enough to obliterate the multiple days of eating less than 1000 calories and working out!  I may need to take a few days break from the scale.  I won't be having cake or alcohol the rest of this week.  And I literally cannot think of anything more I can do in the next few days than what I've been doing.  I'm just very frustrated thinking that a half slice of cake and drinks at a pool party can result in this.  It's days like this when I think if never eating birthday cake is what I must do--then forgetaboutit.  It's impossible.

128    Leave for LAX bright and early Wednesday AM !!   I am not weighing myself again until a week from tomorrow. I'm fixating and perseverating on the scale... stuck not wanting to see it go up or down.  I am going to leave my Fitbit home.  I'm going to be walking lots and lots !!  I'm going to take a week's break from My Fitness Pal logging.  I have logged every day, without exception,  for sixteen months. I know what healthy eating looks and feels like.  I need to relax and refresh and appreciate my body as it is right now.  Intend to unplug and unwind.

My biggest goals are to enjoy my daughter, restore my mind/body/spirit synergy,  and master chop sticks.  Both girls are quite adept, and use them to eat Skittles, just for fun !!  I'd like to use them at meals to slow me down a bit, and help me be more mindful. Will mow my back yard after work, so I don't return to a jungle !!  LOL !!

Have a great day !!

Diane

I just bought myself some titanium chopsticks - have not used them yet! Never thought to use them for non-Asian food. Good idea!

Good morning all!  Feeling lousy today.  I came down with the creeping crud during recital - Friday and Saturday I was hoping it was just a little cold, but by yesterday, it was full blown.  I made it through on adrenaline and crashed last night.  Been running a temp and it is settling in my chest - yuk!!!

I have not weighed in a couple or three days.  Food has been ok, but I did indulge a bit at the cast party Saturday night.  Overall, the recital went well.  I was happy with how I danced.  My daughter's boyfriend texted her from the audience, after Saturday's performance and said that I had just killed the dance - high praise from a teenage boy!  I tried to insert the video of the dance.  I am so technologically challenged. :)  Maybe my daughter can help me later.

Have a great Monday!

Hugs, Mary

Happy Monday!  I'm at 113, despite a planned but still overindulgent evening with a bowl of homemade popcorn. It was delicious that's for sure.

It's finally raining in the north, so Mother Nature is now starting to help the wildfire crews get The Beast under control. And if all goes well, the 88,000 displaced residents will begin re-entry on June 1.

About 10% of the homes were completely lost to fire and it is still not known how many others were damaged.  Although this disaster happened quite far away from here, it's one of those situations where virtually everyone knows someone who was affected. We certainly do and while people try to keep their spirits up, the trauma is definitely there. I can only imagine it will deepen for many when they see the state of their homes and the city itself.

The cool temps and rain will keep us close to home today. Have a good one my friends. Let's rock it

Crummy weekend.  My plan for Friday went totally awry and rather than avoiding the potluck food altogether I ate carby crud and let that continue right through Saturday.  I'm up as a result.  I think targeting 800 calories was just to low this far out.  Devon, you were right - I think I set myself up to rebel against what was clearly unsustainable for me at this point.  2-3 days at a time at that level is probably the max for me.

Going to try upping to 1000-1100 and see what my weight does.  Even if I can manage .5 down per week I think that's going to be more doable for me and not feel like such a grind.  As much as I want to hit Dr. C's target, I know myself well enough to know that I can't strive for perfection 100% of the time - It usually causes me to say "F-it" and go off the rails just as it did this weekend.

The exercise thing continues to be a problem - as in I don't do any.  I have to somehow get my mind around the fact that I will need to move my posterior if I have any prayer of making and keeping it any smaller.  Like many people, I feel like I don't have time, and to some degree it's true - I work a full time job, have two kids, and when I get home from work after cooking dinner and helping with homework am just too damned tired to do anything.  And a five a.m. wake up time is asking to be blown off.  I will have to really look at this and see what I can do here.

Pretty discouraged, though not totally deterred.

Happy freakin' Monday.
