good morning everyone and I truly thank each one of you for your encouraging kind words.

Kairk, ' you are not your behaviour',   Words to ponder indeed.

Today was a sterling food day but no walking because of pain.  Frustrating.

Again, am very grateful for you all.

a brand new day!

carbondated - glad things are looking up!

Came down with a terrible virus.  It feels like a cold, but add in body aches for good measure.  I am wiped.  Came home early from work for the first time in over 5 years.  Gonna take meds and rest.

184.5 today so heading in the right direction.  Still not sure what caused the big spike.

Enjoy your day.

Glad weight is heading back in the right direction!  It is also inspiring to see you keep on with the plan rather than letting the spike derail you.  Maybe the spike was related to oncoming illness?

Carbon... glad to hear the food was back in place.  Now, if you could just get that knee pain under control !  Pain impacts so many things !!

129's today.  I made the mistake of purchasing a SMALL package of home made ginger snaps at the health food store, thinking I could build in one cookie here and there. Well, "a serving" is two small cookies, and while MFP would certainly have allowed me to log a half a serving, what could have been .5 servings became two servings. Put the remaining cookies in the freezer.  They may have to be deep sixed.  I'm being cautious not to add options to my diet I won't be able to sustain when I'm comfortably back in my maintenance range.

Fully wrapped all day today, compensating for time with stocking walking, and nothing while in the pool.  Planning on another compression stocking hour tonight, to do a walk.

Have a GREAT, on plan day, my friends.

I have been playing with cookies in freezer  Nice while it lasted but I can tell I'm not going to restock anytime soon.  (Tho it literally pains me to type that).

I am curious if you were encouraged by thin-woman thinking to practice portion controlling foods like that? Sort of like an inculcation so that you don't feel the need to binge?

127.6. House showing went well last night. They would like to put an offer on the house. We just don't know 100% if we can move right now. Nothing like being in limbo! At least the house is 100% clean. Feels good!

WT.  213.8  Down 4? I weight twice to make sure.  will see tomorrow if it is a real weight loss.  I need it to be. Calories 1277. Eating pretty much on track. Just need to trim 400 more calories off. to lose the regain.

Paint coat #3 of 6 on the airstream doors.

Mowed the yard yesterday. Standing water in the yard.  In August.  Just unheard of.

Good morning, fantasitic fam!

Carbon, sorry that knee has not turned around!

Ate too much yesterday.  Very few steps yesterday.  Didn't weigh this morning.  Trifecta!  Back on plan this morning --- made easier because I think I have a VSG-hangover from yesterday.

Yesterday was spent visiting MIL in hospital and then taking FIL to emergency room for long standing issues.  They kept him overnight as they waited to complete a couple of tests but will likely release him to a nursing home today.   He has been in independent living but (in family's opinion) quite depressed and not taking care of himself to the extreme.  Difficult situation all the way around.

DD has two appt's today and I will log into to work.  I am cleared for part time this week and will return full time next week.

Do something joyful today!

Shel

Carbon, glad your day was better than previous days.

I was up .4 today. All good. Food was on the salty and fatty side yesterday - I had a slice of pizza. I do have a little story about going out for sushi and sashimi and ending up eating pizza. It is long, but oh so true! Hehehe.... Our favorite sushi place now closes up whenever they damn well feel like it, so though we got there during their normal dinner hour, they had closed. Ron really let them have it about their shenanigans with this closing business. This is the third time it's happened to us there. They have even taken down the posted hours. After his tirade about their utter lack of consistency in hours and poor customer service we had to find somewhere else to eat. We went to our back up sushi place, but they were jam packed. So we opted for the Italian place a two doors down. The food is good there and the owner supports all the local little leagues each summer and I enjoyed my one slice of pizza. So it was a good move!

Diane's post and Shel's response to it reminded my of Intuitive Eating. Then not two minutes later I got a link to an article about Intuitive Eating from Authoritynutrition.com. It's well worth a read - for all of us at any stage of the game. There is a link at the end of the article to another one on mindful eating that is also quite worthy of your time. Here's the link: A Quick Guide to Intuitive Eating

Navigated both the district and site food fests with ease today. No morning baked goods, chocolates, cookies, or other "Rule Foods" passed by lips. Frankly, I was not really even tempted by them. Curious yes. Tempted no. I did, however, choose to NOT look at the table laden with breakfast cakes. I figured out of sight, out of mind - so that's what I did!

Tomorrow the little hoodlums will descend upon my classroom. I love, love, love the first day with a new class. I'm already to go. Found out today I have a little boy with Tourret's Syndrome. That will make for an interesting year, no?

147.2 today, 0.8 lb loss for weekly weigh in.  Will take it and be grateful considering some not great choices this weekend camping.

Calories 1,145 today, a bit carb heavy though.  Super busy day at work today.  Looking forward to tomorrow off and need to get a work out in!
