Wt 219.0  Calories up... comfort eating. 1355

Felt like a stomach bug yesterday.  No exercise.  No airstream steps. Didn't want to get that far from the bathroom.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

We all seem to be struggling a bit, so here is a bit of a pep talk that I need to hear.

we have all worked so very hard to lose weight, and yes, some of us have gained, but just think of where we would be if:

we had not had the surgery

we had not been diligent in watching and keeping to our food plan ( well, most of the time)

we had not been active or/and engaged in physical activity.

Troops, this is a choice we made, and we will continue down this road because the alternative is untenable.

This is a mind game and our feelings are governed by our thoughts.   Sooooooooo, our (my) thoughts for today is that this body needs the best fuel I can give it and just enough to keep it at an optimum level.

This Tuesday is gonna be great!!!

( end of the Mommy rant)

123's, ok steps yesterday, a bit of home yoga which is better than no yoga.

Carbon, thanks for the pep talk!   All good reminders of our past and how to keep from going back.

Wishing you all the very best for yourselves today.  And, for some of us, maybe a new scale.

129's today !   Great "reframing" for the day, Carbon !!  I receive a positive message every day, from Breakthrough at Caron, a intensive one week program to address addictive behaviors (I attended a week during the summer five years ago for my disordered eating. Wonderful experience !!)  Today's message was, "The struggle you are in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow."

We've got this !!!

Happy Tuesday peeps. We're alive and well. Thanks for the words Carbon. 115 for me. Dave I wish I could have taken a few of those bathroom trips for you :(

DD joined us for dinner last night but made no reference to our tough conversation.  Admittedly I couldn't resist asking what she thought about it and she said she might look for a book to read about it.  I think she may be telling me what she thinks I want to hear so I'm not feeling hopeful.

Called in to work for a few hours. Always happy to have a reason to get gussied up.  I think my spirit animal might be the pea****  All flash no substance lol.  Oh look! Shiny shiny!!

I loved your add on FB for espy! You look simply fantastic. If I didn't love you so damn much, I'd be jealous!

I also loved your Facebook post!  I looked to see how long I would need to drive to be fitted for jeans....just over 11 hours. Perhaps worth it!

No weight. No Scale. I did get a reply from Taylor Precision Products and it sounds as if I will be getting a free replacement scale shortly. I had to send pics of the scale, approximate dates and point of purchase, serial number of the scale, contact info and mailing address. Hoping it is soon. Though, I did some research and I found a highly rated "smart scale" that sounds kind of fun. It's over $100, but it talks via bluetooth to an app on one's phone, keeps trends, etc... I think I may get it, just for the hell of it sometime down the road. For now I will hope to get my replacement scale from Taylor ASAP.

Thanks for the pep talk Carbon.

Yesterday was a mostly on point food day. After dinner I had some trouble with grazing. Yet, after my "I don't give a ****" weekend binge I did a bang up job staying on track throughout the day. Today my food is in place for breakfast and lunch and I have a Quest Bar for the afternoon should I need it. I usually don't, but I like having it as insurance.

Super intense workout yesterday - One of those "Don't' talk to me, I'm dying" workouts. Even after a cool down on the treadmill my heart rate was 130 bpm. Will be curious to see if I get sore from this one. I have plans to do 30-45 minutes of intense cardio after my client this evening.

It is extremely disconcerting to not have a scale on which to weigh myself daily. On one hand I feel a freedom from the scale and on the other hand an intense fear of not having daily accountability and seeing that number every morning. In the distant past it was during non-weighing periods that I tended to gain weight.

Carbon, I promise to have as swell of a Tuesday as is possible. My attitude is good and my little pity party seems to be over - though I still have work to do around the deep feelings about not being where I had hoped to be. More accurately, I suppose, it is dealing with my feelings of failure for not being where I think I should be. That sense of "should" can certainly be a crippling feeling. At least I know I ought not should all over myself!

Hello peeps!  Happy Tuesday!

140.2.  Went for a 5 mile run this morning, very proud of that!  But after elliptical yesterday and 5 miles today my gams are killing me!!

Carbon, true words of wisdom.  It is hard in the day to day struggle of obesity to keep full perspective.  We have all been given this gift of new life and I am grateful.

Spending the day packing for Chicago tomorrow and catching my oldest sons soccer game.

Have a good day all!
