Grocery store day which means I'm picking up some stuff to pre-make meals for the week.  Getting tired of eggs so looking to mix it up.  Has anyone ever tried the refrigerator oats?  The recipes I've found have milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds and obviously oats plus whatever fruit and nuts flavor it.  I used to love oatmeal and this sounds amazing but am i fooling myself that it's a good choice??  Too many carbs?  Should i sub protein powder for the chia seeds?

Any other non-egg breakfast ideas also welcome!!

I only eat those carby things as an occasional 'topping' (a tablespoon serving) on Greek yogurt and berries. I don't eat them as the 'primary' food. Protein forward is always my mantra.

I have moments when I realize I HAVE to have some steel cut oats. It's like my body is craving it. It's an odd thing, but the idea will pop in my mind and I may not act on it for days and days, but eventually if it's the real McCoy, I get down to getting the oats!

I will make a pot (usually about 2 cups of finished oatmeal) and eat off of it for about 4 days or so. It's not a trigger for me and every so often it just seems to be a necessity. Not sure why, but it works for me. Again, only every so often. I eat it with a few wild blueberries, a tsp or 2 of chopped pecans, and topped with a TBS or 2 of Greek yogurt.

My go to breakfast these days is a quest bar. Lots of protein, some carbs but feels totally carby! Lol!
