Had some more excitement on our highway in front of our house. A lady spilled dipping sauce on her top and was trying to clean it off.  Ran off the road then overcorrected.  Hit a guy head on.  No one was hurt.  Both cars were totaled.

Got in a few airstream steps and I sealed the granite top on the bar.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Good morning everyone

Ouch Dave for the accident outside your premisis.  Glad both were ok.   And Liz, sorry about your husband's ill health.  That has to be very very hard.

Well it was another good day food wise but steps only 6006.  Scale not moving but jeans are loser.   Still feeling very fat though.

So glad that this week is nearly done.

my goodness, the rain is coming down in sheets.   I am not sugar.  I will not melt!!!  Out I goooooooooo!!!!

125's, pretty good steps esp considering I did most at lunch in rain.    A bit of home yoga but a modified practice because calves wanted to cramp.

If one believes the forecasters, something wicked this way comes and the next couple of days will be interesting.  I have been fighting the urge to stock up on food. (Someday we will find out that the food processers pay the forecasters to over-hype storms)   It is fun to observe people shopping.  Batteries and flashlights:  check!  30 bags of shelf stable processed foods, check!

Liz, thanks for the pictures!  That's a fine looking family :)

Dave, when you are done with the Airstream, you are going to offer it as an Airbnb, right?  Right?????

Onward.

Shel

You make me smile and that is worth a LOT these days.  Hadn't even thought of that. Someone is going to have to be quick to find it empty.  I think we are going to sleep in in as soon as we get the toilet plumbing hooked up.

You want to come to Arkansas you are welcome to stay in the airstream.  Do you know how to do plumbing?

127 OTD again today. Had a little shopping spree yesterday and while my weight is up a few lbs. it must be distributed differently because my sizes are down! Go figure! Who know where I will land after PS. Did your clothes sizes change after the swelling went down Shel?

Colder weather here - 50's. Supposed to be nicer on Sunday.

That accident sounds downright scary David! Glad nobody got hurt!

clothes fit different/better, but not necessarily a full size down.  I have deliberately avoided trying on new stuff because swelling can last 6 months so things may continue to slightly change.

upper outer thighs are smaller -- I never measured them so I don't know how much in inches.  But, there is a handful (or two) of me missing from each side.  That is ancient fat that I had even as a teenager plus some loose skin that slipped down my bum with weight loss.  Good riddance.

Haven't measured hips and abdomen lately but I know they are somewhat smaller.

Since lumps and bumps were removed, clothes fit/drape better.  My silhouette is much better. I feel massively confident in fitted sweater dresses --- what a new experience.

I now have to use a belt with almost all pants or they slip down.  And it is easy to imagine that if I was buying the same pants again that I might choose a smaller size for some of them. But there are just a couple pair that I am unlikely to wear again and they were feeling loose even before the surgery.   I bought new yoga pants this weekend in my usual brand and bought my usual size.

I don't need smaller tops but it is a joy not to not have any sort of abdominal roll showing when in a fitted top.   Again, different and better, but not necessarily smaller.

Hello All-

Several of you have messaged me, to make sure I'm okay. Thanks for reaching out !!!   It means more than you could know.  I am struggling, and I have tried to catch up with posts, and see that I am not alone.    The three weeks + as building principal were extremely stressful.  A 900+ student building comes with lots of "stuff", which I had no experience dealing with without stuffing my feelings in food. I was never a thin, healthy principal.   I have to have an upper GI and endoscopy with my repeat colonoscopy (they wouldn't do at 60 because it was too post VSG).  There are concerns about whether or not my hiatal hernia repair "held".  I had to be fitted for thigh high compression stockings at the next higher compression level because of the above the knee swelling I'm experiencing.  I am holding in the 134-139 range most of the time, with short lived bumps to 144-145.  It really messes with my head.

This is my second day back at my own job.  I traded in my pre-Sadie Chevy Cruze for a Subaru Forester, which is very dog friendly. Have to get all of my refinances/purchases in order before my retirement salary kicks in.  I'm slowly beginning to embrace being alone.  I'm looking forward to a 10/23 consultation with a Pilates /Gyrotonic studio.

Let's all keep on keeping on !!!  Much love to all of you, ... soul mates who are struggling and role models leading the way.
