Weight 120.25 - no exercise (even walking dogs) - the wind was howling yesterday and it was COLD! I have my physical next week and have to go to the lab ahead of time in the morning around 7.  I'm trying to decide if it will be colder this morning or tomorrow (the cold just cuts through me these days).

Had my husband get the Christmas tree out from storage so we can get it decorated before we leave for 5 days on Thanksgiving, but we won't put the lights on until after we get back.  I usually decorate the weekend after turkey day, but will be in Florida until Tuesday morning, so I want to get at least some decorating before we leave.  DS likes to do lights outside, though I'm just a candles in the window person.  I may have him do the outside if he wants while we are gone (white lights only).

Have a good day and keep warm wherever you are!

Sleepless in British Columbia.

Calories were 1000 on the dot and steps 13,699.

rain and wind, rain and wind is the promise for today.   More and more houses have Christmas lights up and I even saw a fully decorated tree.

Have a great day.

123 today, no yoga yesterday but good steps.  Most importantly, the turkey is now in the house.

My 2 year follow up is coming up in a couple of weeks.  I think Kairk mentioned that his surgery was in Dec as well.  In hindsight, the holiday surgiversary has served me well.  It provides bit of extra motivation to keep on top of things.  I'm also thinking about what I will wear to the appointment which is sort of weird. I want to look causally fabulous.

DH has already put up lights outside but won't officially turn them on until guests are leaving on Thanksgiving.  (He does this to annoy his brother.)  My successful kitchen clean up is somehow inspiring me to try to get the tree up this weekend.  Decluttering the kitchen somehow frees up my mind for the task.  I'm sure there is a lesson in that, just not sure what it is.

126.8 -

Liz - I remember last winter (my first after VSG) was miserable - cold to the core! I'm not expecting it to be much better this year. One reason we are moving to warmer climes!

All food is purchased for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Made mini pumpkin pie bites with mini Phillo crusts - they are about the size of a quarter - so cute! Of course if you eat 6 of them (and I think I did) they equate to at least a full piece of pie!

Had to take DS#3 to ER last night. Got hit in the head with a basketball and has a concussion. Probably a mild one but he has already had a severe one a few years back.

Tomorrow stitches come out. Some have imbedded pretty deep and will have to be dug out - not looking forward to that!

I hope DS will be okay! Repeat concussions are not good!

Also hope the stitch removal isn't too bad - I'm sure it will be good to be rid of them once they are out.

Hey everyone!

142.2.  Weight has been bouncing around a bit but still within my set target of 140-145 so rolling with it.

I worked the weekend and am grateful to have this week off...my boss is burning up some of my PTO before years end.  Yesterday was long run day.  Even though it was SO cold I checked my excuses at the door and went out for a 10 mile run.  10 miles!!!  I wasn't fast but I'm still very proud.  Planning to run a 5k on Thanksgiving morning with my husband and son.  That will be my 15 month surgiversary and I can believe how different life is now.

Today I'm getting a haircut and donating blood.  Tomorrow will be spent with the kiddos prepping for Thursday.  I love Thanksgiving (even more than Christmas), such a wonderful day just to focus on family.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Heather :)

Still holding at 139.  Not feeling that excited about "the feast"... maybe there IS an upside to a hernia. Meet with my bariatric surgeon the 1st of December.  We're all working hard to learn the "new normal" in healthier, lighter bodies.  I'm grateful for the simple things... under armor, snow pants, and cute PS small sweaters that fit two seasons in a row !!!
