Is anyone shopping today??  I avoid stores like the plague on this weekend, though I did buy one gift online yesterday when the sale kicked in.  Have no idea of my weight (in Florida), but calories were low yesterday.  We did cook a turkey breast before we left but couldn't eat much.  For some reason I had terrible pains in my abdomen an hour or so after eating - I think it was gas (must have eaten too fast or not chewed enough).  So I was careful the rest of the day plus I was traveling.

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning!

I am looking for deals on a few things but not spotting much.  A while back, on the main VSG forum, Happy Teacher posted something about the Joule Sous Vide thing (appliance? wand?) and now I want one.  There was a good deal on the Anova but of course I want the one that is double the price.

123 this morning.  Not terrible eating yesterday.   Minimal this and that of many things I normally don't eat.  Nighttime extra eating just before bed as I finished cleaning the kitchen.  Great steps. I skipped yoga because it was too freakin' crowded.  I probably needed it, tho.  I am cranky with my spouse and can still feel it this morning.  I wonder if this crankiness is some sort of outlet for not indulging in permissive holiday food fest.

I work today.....better get on it.  I'm also having lab work today but I don't have to fast.  Good thing.

I would guess that most of you have the day off, I hope you enjoy it with wild-skinny abandon!

Shel

128 OTD - deserved I'm afraid.

No shopping for me today. Will try and not take a nap today. I get so darned tired but instead of a little nap, I might take a 2-2.5 hour nap in the afternoon and then that affects my sleeping at night. Need to get in the no nap habit before Wednesday, my first day back at work. It couldn't be avoided yesterday though. I worked all morning on the Thanksgiving dinner prep - maybe sat for 15 minutes from the time I got up until we ate lunch around 1:00. I immediately went to bed after the big feast and didn't get up until 4:00!

DH bought these dark chocolate covered caramels with sea salt on them from Costco that are way too good. Thankfully they are locked in his car and I have to ask him to get me one at a time if I am so inclined.

Happy Friday my Fabulous Friends!

I have been meaning to comment that even tho perhaps current increase is "deserved," I would guess that you are carrying at least a few pounds of inflammatory water weight related to surgery.  It can be there and not be visible to you, especially with the changes made to your body.  It may take a long time (months) for it to totally release.

So, no worries!

The only thing harder to resist than chocolate covered caramels are the over-sized quantities at Costco so that no one notices if I eat 10 at a time.  There are still a zillion left.

Perfect that they are in your husband's (locked!) car.

Considering that I was down to 123.something since surgery, I doubt much of what I am carrying is excess fluid but a girl can hope! Lol! I think I was 130 the day of surgery, went up to 138 right after (fluid for sure) and in the weeks after had decreased to the 123's but started going back up the last week or so. Still all manageable!

Greetings Thanksgiving Day Survivors

Well we had a lovely holiday with our good friends. Leaving off the hors d'loerves was a good thing. Plenty of good food and fewer high calorie snacks. But this morning I am at 133.5. I did indulge in a sliver of pecan pie and two chocolates. Otherwise it was kid sized portions of turkey, slaw, spinach and a spoon of stuffing and gravy. Oh and some fine wine. It was a mid day meal and so we didn't eat dinner except I had a piece of cheese.

No shopping for me today. Just football and cleaning up for the arrival of nephew and fiancee later today.

Cheers all.   Diane .s

I think Nebraska is playing Iowa (my alma mater) today.  Always a fine match up.  My boss is watching it his office.....eventually I will swing by for a quick peek.

No weight today. Up at Oh Dark Thirty for a dog show.

Eating was okay yesterday. A little heavy on the pie - had to taste all three - just little smidgeons of each, but then late in the evening I did have another small piece of pumpkin pie. Ron made the wicked apple pie. The cinnamon roll crust not nearly as good as one might hope, which for me was a very, very good thing. I am able to leave it alone much more easily than a real pie with a great crust.

Great news is that I returned from the dog show with a new AKC champion. Ella is now officially Ch. Kairk's Fascinating Rhythm. Well, as soon as AKC publishes her title it will be official. For now I'm happy with the unofficial! Going to eat some leftovers to celebrate!
