Psychiatrist just emailed. He is prescribing Vyvanse for the BED! I will probably start on Wednesday. I'm excited to see if it works on my BED. Maybe I'll be one of the lucky ones. Fingers crossed!

Fingerscrossed!

It can be expensive: frequently not covered by insurance at all (excluded as an obesity drug) or have a very, very high copay. here is a link to a coupon. It is some relief if you are paying out of pocket entirely.

Also, if you are paying out of pocket call around for pricing! Prescription pricing is crazy variable. Costco charges flat cost plus 10% and sometimes gives an additional break if there is no insurance.

Sometimes that type of coupon can also be used to reduce terrible copay, sometimes not. Your retail pharmacist will know.

Well, we will see when I pick it up tonight. I'm hoping that since it is through the Kaiser Permanente system I will just have to pay my normal co pay. It is not on my list of excluded prescription drugs, so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Will let you know. If it isn't covered, I'll be taking the refill to Costco, for sure!

Thanks for the link and I will call Costco tomorrow. With insurance I pay about $280.00 a month. Hope Costco is cheaper.

Congratulations and hope it helps. Took me about 3 months to get it adjusted but I could tell a big difference immediately.
