Weight 115.5, calories 1172. The BBQ yesterday was a lot of fun! It was at Grim Traveller and JuniperBerry's home (about an hour from here), and DaisyDoo02, NYMom222, T Hagalicious Rebel Brown, AudreyLeHag, CC583, and Mary OnTheEastCoast were there. DH didn't go because he wasn't feeling well. I think it was the several short nights he had this week due to morning appointments and evening activities that did him in. CC583 brought the BEST pulled pork I've ever had (he competes in BBQ competitions). Grim made burgers and dogs AND the best chocolate chip cookies. I only ate one and brought one home to DH, but it was worth the calories.

The weather is decent today (it was grey, windy and cool yesterday), so maybe it will be a beach day (after I do bills - I always do them on the last weekend of the month). Have a wonderful Sunday!

Liz, how cool that you get to socialize with other WLSers. The photograph is wonderful -- how nice to see some OH posters IRL. Thanks for that. And dahling, you look mahvelous! I have that same outfit you're wearing -- white jeans, short white jacket, and black/white mariniere. Classic!

It's 59 degrees outside! Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!

Happy Sunday to everyone. Hope it's full of joy, good nutrition, healthy exercise, and (if you're so inclined) productive.

Again with feeling, T.G.I.S.

Speaking of getting together, I have you penciled in for either Sat the 19th or Sun the 20th in Vancouver. Probably Sunday...... If you have a preference, please do let me know. I am uber flexible, I am most interested in meeting you and your DH, no matter the day. Seeing Liz's picture just makes me look forward to it even more!

It will probably be just me, DH isn't particularly social in that manner. I would love to explore Stanley Park, do you have interest? I'm not sure what is there except there is a long stretch of waterfront. When I was last there, I was with teenagers who had zero interest in that sort of thing. We did make it to the aquarium which I think is RIGHT THERE but I couldn't force them further into the park.

OMG! I'm so excited, Shel. Thank you for making that big effort to come across the border. I love the Stanley Park to-do, since it's one of the best city-walking places around (another is Central Park, of course). By the time you arrive, I should know my way around the park pretty well. Aquarium is good. Or anything else we want to do.

This will be fabulous! Again, I'm so excited! And when we're out and about it'll be just the two of us. Hubby isn't very mobile at the moment and, frankly, even when he's in peak condition he despises walking for pleasure. He only does it for fitness on the treadmill at cardio rehab here at home. He says when he wins the lottery he's going to hire litter-bearers to carry him around. We can meet up with him for snacks and drinks back at the hotel "gold lounge" (what he really cares about is high thread-count linens and having pretty girls around who will bring him nice things to eat and drink). :)

If Sunday (20th) works best for you, let's do it then. But if you change your mind, Saturday (19th) will be OK with me, too.

Meeting you will be the highlight of my Vancouver trip!

Ann

P.S. We'll find a great place for lunch -- my treat. :)

Hello all!

No big hike today, booooo. I told myself that if I had the energy to my stuff together in 30 minutes then I could go. I tried for about 5 minutes then sort of pooped out and that is that. Paddleboard yoga today, instead.

That's a great looking group, Liz!

I read somewhere in the last couple of days that saying yes to one thing means saying no to another. I think it had more to do with agreeing to do things that you really didn't have time for but I think it applies to my dysfunctional food issues, too. Saying yes to food I don't need (and really don't care about) means saying no to my current lifestyle (which I highly value) Not as succinct as JFDI but I think there is room enough for both in my brain.

BB, congratulations on that heart beat! I think I liked that post but wanted to say it out loud, too! It is a very exciting (sometimes overwhelming) time. Be kind to yourself. If you are tired, rest....that sort of thing.

Dave, I used to be jealous of the airstreams on the road. Now I just feel a little sad for them because they haven't been treated to your renovations.

Make it a great day, all! Shel

Good morning everyone. Snazzy photo!

All is well here. Half are away camping still. I came home as sleeping on the ground has lost its charm.

Food excellent and walking a little more. The bear is back having left gift cards under the plum tree. Bad year for plums here. We have precisely 4 and go out daily to encourage them.

enjoy your day!

Carbon, glad you came to your senses and left camping. I will take a nice bed anyway. Give my regards to the plums. Diane S

BTW, y'all, the baby wrens have hatched. They are naked, featherless creatures and very quiet (haven't heard a literal peep out of them yet).

Here's a photograph I found on the 'net of what they look like now:
