Weight 118, calories 1558. Yes, calories were higher than usual but really? Back to the top of the range? I need to put my weights and calories into Excel again to see what's going on (weird I know).

We went to the my friend's father's funeral North of Boston yesterday. It was a long day with 2 hour drives each way, so we were gone from 7-4. DH couldn't remember how to tie his tie. He said it was his fingers not moving right... We stopped at DH's parents cemetery on the way home. DH couldn't remember where it was so I got the address from SIL, but he said he was sure that he knew where the gravesite was. He could figure out which quarter of the very large cemetery it was in, but that was as close as he could get. He even tried wandering around to see if it helped, but no way. BIL sent the coordinates (which he had from the funeral last year), so we did find it finally. Sigh...

My tattoo didn't weep or anything yesterday and doesn't look scabby. Is that normal? I couldn't find anything that said one way or the other online.

Nothing on the agenda today other than making Justice happy by walking a lot today. He was not pleased yesterday - he messed his crate and this morning seems to have a bit of an upset stomach (won't eat and threw a bit outside). We have appointments every day this week and next (and a lot going on next weekend with DD's 30th Birthday) so a down day is a good thing.

Have a serene Sunday!

First, Ann you are missed !! We know you'll check in when you can. Paula, thanks so much for posting the video of Ben's final lecture. What an inspirational, natural teacher. His Socratic methodology shines through. I can see why he is so well loved and respected. Anticipatory grief. I think many of us have learned to be outwardly strong and we hold things together in the moment, only to crash in a big way when alone. Let's go easy on the gutter cleaning. You might want to find a handyman for those duties. Liz, eager to hear how the newly arrived watch works out. Love the tatoos... cosmetic tatoos in the form of permanent brow fill, eyeliner and lip fill, are the closest I've come. I'm sure a young family will enjoy your sailboats. Shel... it sounds like your re-entry into the world was a bit bumpy. The fact that you have developed an awareness of the importance of self care is critical ! Shifting our thoughts from looking at that investment of time as selfish/indulgent to being necessary for successful maintenance is key. Diane, I agree that resentment over lacking personal time absolutely fuels overeating! BB, glad to hear Nugget is such a great flyer !!Cecily... I am sooo in love with your closet !!! Green with envy !! David, missing your posts too !

Eating is okay, except for a couple of handfuls of dark chocolate cashews yesterday. It was an overbooked day, which I try to avoid. Two of my three removed polyps were determined to be precancerous, so I'll have another colonoscopy (with two day prep) in five years.

DianeO, how are those knees?

I am still soaking in your post from the other day.....I think the 3 keys were patience, gratitude and living in the moment. Something like that. So simple and deceivingly obvious. Rarely applied, especially all once.

OK, here goes, I am returned from the deep dark side, and one week shy of a year's work loosing a massive (I can't believe I'm even admitting this...125 pound regain). Weight this morning 161. Ten pounds to go, and so thankful for a return to sanity on so many different levels. I've been following the group for a few months now, and while some of you may not recognize me, I have benefited so much because of your posts. Thank you. Time to pay back and contribute. Hope to be more visible and accountable in the future. Have a wonderful day! Smiles to all, Bonnie

Welcome.....or I think perhaps Welcome Back is more appropriate! So nice to meet you.

Props to you for 1) wrestling with the regain and 2) being successful!!!!! More than props.....deep bows. Like you have been to hell and back. (Is that an overstatement? It wouldn't be in my dysfunctional head).

Glad to see you here!
