How are you preparing for the 8-Week Challenge?


  I went online and found some more exercise videos that I can do in my office.  It's been rainy and I don't want the weather to keep me from reaching goal.

I posted a picture of my inspiration dress on my blog to remind me of how I want to look when I reach my goal.

I have dusted off all my Somersize books, marked some favorite recipes, and am stocking up on required food this weekend.  Also started tracking on MyFitnessPal this week so it will be routine.  Exercise....just adding more movement into my day.  Come on Monday!!!!

I AM DOING MY BEST TO PLAN MEALS OUT 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE ...THIS WILL HELP TO HAVE A "GO TO: MENU AND KNOW WHAT I WILL NEED IN ADVANCE AT THE GROC STORE!  I AM WONDERING WHAT MY CALORIE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE OR ARE...I KNOW I SHOULD TAKE IN AT LEAST 10 % OF THEM IN AS PROTEIN ...RIGHT?

 I would think your protein levels would depend on how your labs look.  Were they OK last time you had them checked?
HONESTLY  I THINK I HAVE NOT HAD THEM CHECKED IN OVER A YEAR...GUESS I NEED TO DO THAT ASAP...
I AM NOT SEEING THE SURGEN BUT I KNOW MY REG DR WILL ORDER THE TEST FOR ME IF I ASK HER... WHAT DO I NEED TO HAVE CHECKED?

Even though you're able to eat more food you should still be taking your vitamins.  If you don't, you will eventually get sick.  Our bodies can't absorb enough from the food alone. 

It seems unfair, doesn't it?  We absorb the doggone calories, but not the vitamins. 
YES ...I AM ANXIOUS TO SEE WHAT I AM LACKING THEN! I DON'T FEEL BAD... JUST SOMETIMES LATELY I GET SOOOO SLEEPY ALL OF A SUDDEN....OF COURSE I GET UP BEFORE 4 AM... AND I KNOW IT COULD BE WHAT I AM PUTTING INTO MY BODY....WE SHALL SEE...

 I am making sure "no" trigger foods are in the house.  And since I have been doing this for 3 months making plans to notch up my workouts. I want to go to the next level to keep the inches and fat coming off.  I also want to make sure I log all foods, this really helps me. 

Going to make a list too that we can share on friday.

I wish I could get trigger food out of the house.  Best I can do is to get my husband keep them out of my sight.
I"ve never logged food... yep, hanging my head in shame.  So doing so, it's going to be huge.  Walking, going to fit that in around farming.

I log my food on my android, The app iscalled fat secret.com. It tells you how many carbs, calories, protein, fat etc. the food you log has in it.
Maybe we should post a grocery list of basics that we should buy before Monday.
Maybe swap some meal recipes and some snack ideas.

I like the idea of meal and snack ideas.  

I will be going to the store after work today.  My low carb plans are....

Cheeses - Parm, Pepper, Swiss, Cream
Meat - Sliced corned beef, Kielbasa, Ham, Italian Sausage
Sour cream
Cream
Onion/Peppers
Cabbage
Frozen - Spinach, Stir Fry Veggies

I will melt Swiss cheese on the corned beef or pepper cheese on the ham for a hot kinda sandwich minus the bread.

I will use the sour cream and cream in a Low Carb/Sugar Free Cheesecake for all week.

I will use the Kielbasa, cabbage, onion, and chicken stock all mixed together in my crock pot and cooked all day for a couple of dinners.

I will use the Italian Sausage, cream, chicken stock, onions, pepper flakes, spinach, and Parm Cheese to make a soup for a few lunches next week.

I will use Kielbasa/Italian Sausage with pepper/onions to serve over spinach or stir fry veggies or cabbage.

These are my favorite low carb items.  I also will use eggs for omelets, etc.

This should take care of the next 7 days and I will feel like I am eating like a queen.  I will do most of the cooking this weekend.  Why can't I just plan and do this all the time????

I rode my bike yesterday for a half an hour.  There were hills too!  It was fun.

I started excerising again today and starting to de-carb. and get into mental preperation...I am so excited we are doing this together!!!

****Got pregnant in May 2011 but lost the baby in August 2011...Gained some weight so trying to get back on track...I hate PCOS.
I also signed up for myfitnespal.com and I am going to track my food and exercise..trying to figure out how to download it on my blackberry...
