I am 29 year old mother of 2 beautiful girls and the wife to an amazing husband who has stood by my side through everything (including the decision to have this surgery)

I have struggled with my  weight since I was young. I got married at a young age of 19 and then a few years later had my first daughter Olivia who is now 7 and then low and behold had my second daughter Jenna just 13 months later.
SOOO.. needless to say my body didn't have much time to recover after having my first child. Therefore the weight just piled on

After having my children and struggling w/ my weight even more I began discussions w/ my husband about having the WLS. He was not onboard at this point because of all of the risks and stories we had heard. And the person that I am, I would not have even considered having this surgery w/o having my husband on board and with his support and approval.

So finally after much discussion, research and study my husband said "baby if this really means this much to you let's get serious about this and I will support you."

SOOOO... I began my WLS journey in May of 2011 when I began going through my 6 months medically supervisied weight loss program w/ my PCP. I had my surgery on 12/13/11 and wouldn't change that decision for anything. I have not had any significant complications other than having to have my gallbladder out in June of 2012.

Not looking back just moving forward and I feel so thankful and blessed to be able to have this opportunity to better my health for myself, my kids, my husband and family.
