It is Friday the 3rd of Feb. and I am starting to feel good. Last week was a little rough learning about dumping first hand and a general lack of strength.

I think I will really need to stay close to these forums for the support they offer. It's nice not to go throught it alone. I'm going to venture outside today and run a few errands and hopefully won't be tempted by the outside world.

Getting the vibe

It's 4 days before my surgery and I have already had dreams  about being skinny.  The only time I lost weight in the past, was 20 years ago and I lost 100 lbs on Nutra Systems. I can't remember a lot from that time, but what I do remember was not all positive.  All the compliments got very tiring and I know people were only trying to encourage me, but it was like too much attention.  Also it bothered me greatly how much women were flirting with me.  I've been married 35 years and Love my wife, but having the attention from other women was a little intoxicating then, I'm not sure how I will handle it if were to happen now. I can see all the benefits of losing the weight and I look forward to that. But I'm not looking forward to the possibility of the negative side.
