Surgeon Testimonial

Robert Dinsmore, M.D.
Dr. Dinsmore is wonderful. He makes you feel at ease from the moment you meet him.

Unfortunately he works in military hospital so getting into my appt on time has definitely been an issue. Certainly no fault of his own.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
on January 7, 2008 7:18 am
I hope you have all had a wonderful and exciting new year.  I can't believe it's been nearly 9 months since my surgery.  Seriously, it seems like it was just a few days ago. It seems the changes in my face and figure are happening faster now than they did in the beginning.  Maybe it's just easier to see since there is less of me?  We're in the home stretch!!!!

B-12 :-(
on October 28, 2007 3:32 pm
Things went well at my appointment on the 19th.  Doc put me on B-12 once a month and did all the necessary bloodwork.  I'm back in school and going to the gym regularly but I'm still really exhausted.  Low and behold when I think that something is wrong the doc gives me a buzz.  B-12 is 205???  She wants it over 400.  That means shots once a week for a month.  Blood pressure is a little elevated but then again hubby had just left two days before.  Everything else was Awesome.  A1C was a 6 omg can you believe that a 6???  blood sugar that day was a 92.  Cholesterol down, Thyroid normal.  Kidneys stable.  I thank God everyday that this surgery saved my life.

Some days snacking is a struggle.  I want the wrong things but I try to eat nuts or soy chips.  I'm good more days than not but I feel guilty every bad day.

Love to you all and good luck on your journey.

Forever
on October 18, 2007 7:09 am
Gads it's been forever since I posted.  Where do I start.  Things have been going pretty steady since the last time I posted.  I'm down 61lbs now.  Met my b-day goal with ease.  I drink muscle milk once a day for my protein and I'm eating 4 small meals a day one of them a snack of nuts.  I'm taking liquid iron and I go to see my doc tomorrow for bloodwork.  Lately I've been getting really tired.

Hubby left yesterday.  The next few months will be a test for me mentally.  Usually though I do very well with my workouts and food when he's not home, because then I can focus more on me instead of making sure I do all the good wifely things he needs. Everyone please say a prayer for us as we go through this deployment.  I promise to do better with keeping up my blog.  be safe and God bless.

:-(
on July 23, 2007 4:55 pm
I had to give up the job.  For about 4 days straight I'd only last about 2 hours at work and then I'd begin to feel faint.  Didn't figure out until it that last day that it was my blood pressure.  Since I work so far from hubby was really upset with the idea of me having to drive an hour home after feeling that way.  Besides it was enough to scare the life outta me.  So for now it's back to the house with the kids.  Thank the lord that school starts in a couple of weeks for them an a month for me.  Til then I guess I'll stress over exercise.  Peace and shrinking bellies all.

Yippee!!!!
on July 16, 2007 5:34 pm
Wow it's been over a month since I've been here.  Guess I owe an update.  Well let's see I had a one month stall.  All my fault because I stopped drinking my protein shakes so my calories dropped considerably.  After only two weeks of being back on the shakes though I dropped 14 lbs.  Yeppers a pound a day.  This however caused me dizzy spells on the the job I've only had for 3 weeks.  Blood pressure was dropping significantly.  So woohoo I'm off another med.   However I'm back on half of a hydroclhorothyaziade (sp) because the standing all day at work made my legs begin to swell.

That's ok all in due time.  Right.  Hubby's not happy with me working because it's an hour away from home and he couldn't get to me when I had the dizzy spells.  So I'm thinking of leaving the brand new job which I enjoy to give him some comfort before he deploys.  We shall see.

So I am officially down 45 lbs today.  That brings me to 204.  If I continue the pound a day routine then by this time next week I will officially be in the land of ONEDER!!!!!  God willing.  I will have also reached my birthday Goal of being down 50lbs almost two and a half months early.  Thanks for reading.  Keep up the good work and talk to you all soon.

PS: hubby completely wiped his laptop hard drive so all of my before pictures are gone.  I'll have to start over from here.

MUAHS!!!
