Surgeon Testimonial

Kyle Ver Steeg, M.D.
Dr. Ver Steeg has been wonderful!! I think he his very caring about his patients and very honest about the risks. He has never been in a hurry to run out the door. He has always taking the time to answer all of my questions. His nurses are just as good! I still call his office often and I'm 3 weeks out today. Him or his nurses never make me feel like a pest. I would recommend him to anyone!!!

MIA

I've been without a computer for a very long time! Sure wish I would have had it to see how everyone was doing and I have had sooo many questions! Its been a long tough journey for me. Although I have lost a lot of weight I have been sick much of the time and spent most of it in bed. I think I'm now malnutrition quite a bit and have some vitamin deficencies. I go to the dr next week so I hope to get some answers. I have not made the change to food well and still live mostly on a couple shakes a day, and will eat cottage cheese and peaches. From time to time some ground beef and have try some other things. Seemed to have fallen into a long depression and just didn't eat. Really trying to get that under control. Surgery will be nine months out Jan. 21. Could use some advice on what vitamins everyone is using???

Almost 1 month
on May 19, 2010 10:21 pm

It's been almost a month so I thought I better get something written. The first couple of weeks were preety painful for me. I had a hard time keeping my blood pressure regular, so was put on oxegen at home. ( still have problems on and off with blood pressure but no more oxegen) Also got a hemotoma in the larger opening. I thought the hardness and swelling was normal so I ignored it for a week until it was very large. ( not smart) Little did I know all I needed to do was put a heating pad on it. Wish I would have called my Dr. a week earlier! Would have saved me a TON of pain. It was right in the crease of my tummy and to the side. Yep, so everytime I bent over or tried to lay on my side I wanted to scream! After I got past that I had a problem with being overly tired, overly emotional and some dehydration. I have read some forums and I'm very happy to know that I'm not alone in the being tired and emotional. One minute I am happy, then crying, and then I want to scream. Sorry to all if this has been some what of a depressing blog today. I hear from many and my Dr. that it will get better and the large hemotoma is gone so that is good! Tammy
