Surgeon Testimonial

Hugh P. Babineau M.D.,F.A.C.S.
My first impression of Dr. Babineau was "Wow, he's young!" He's in his late thirties, like me. He's very quiet and somewhat shy, so you have to really have your questions ready, as he's not one of those doctors who just ramble on and on. He is VERY competent; I would venture to say he is one of the best bariatric surgeons, if not the best, in Texas.
His office staff is nice. Freda is amazing...she gets those approvals done when you don't even think it's possible. She answers as many questions as you can throw at her. She attends and leads every support group meeting. She's a HUGE asset to Dr. B's office. He does not want to lose her, trust me. :)
Aftercare is good....there is a monthly support group meeting at ETMC, and it is well attended, with Freda at the helm. I have learned so much there. I do think that waiting until we are over a month out to have our first follow up visit might be a little too long, so I can say that I would like to have been seen at two weeks out, just to calm my nerves and make sure nothing was going on with me.
Overall, I am so glad that I chose him, as I had a great experience before, during, and after my surgery!
