Surgeon Testimonial

Dr. Kim is the most careing doctor that I have ever met. He is completely concerned about our health and wellfare and wants to be sure that we are in tip top shape before he does surgery on you. If he has a doubt about anything that has to do with your health he will send you to a specialist for their opinion. I liked everything about Dr. Kim. He is very straightforward in what he says to you and he tells you exactly what you need to know. I haven't had my surgery yet. I am in the third month of dieting for my insurance (Aetna HMO). I go back on the 21st of October and I am unsure if I turn all of my WL journals into him then or turn them in to Pam ( his coordinator ). All of his staff are very knowledgeable of the surgery and what all that we will have to go through. I know that he does have a structured after care and he does tell us from the beginning about all the risks of the surgery. I would rate him and his staff 15 out of the 1-10. They are all very careing and friendly and care alot about their patients. He has monthly meetings that he really encourages his patients to attend after their surgery and he encouranges you to exercise and Walk. He is the best and anyone considering WLS in the Fort Worth are should consider using him. For a thin man ........He truely has a heart for the obese and really wants to help us to live a normal and healthly life.

Hi I am a 53 yr.old woman who has spent my entire life as a morbidly obese person.  I had gastric bypass (RNY) 18 months ago and I just had a Belt Abdominaplasty 3 weeks ago to rid myself of my huge apron of skin that I was left with from the years of being morbidly obese.   I have lost a total of about 140 lbs since I started my journey.   I now finally feel like a complete person and a thin person.   It is amazing that you know by looking at your clothes that you are a small person now but when you look in the mirror with all your excess skin staring you in the face that you feel and view yourself as still"fat".
My body now is far from perfect even after spending $11,000 for the body lift.   But truely who has a perfect body anyway.   It is foolish for a older person of my age to spend thousands of dollars to make your body perfect.   Personally .....I don't have enough money to make my body perfect.   But I did correct the part that bugged me the very most and made me feel really bad about my self image.   I am still very swollen but all in all I am very pleased with the results that I now have and I know that they are only going to get better with time as the swelling goes down.

Happy Labor day Ya'll.   I am so glad to be home.   LOL   even though I have had lots of catch up work to do.   LOL   I was a little surprised when I stepped on the scale and didn't gain any weight while at my son;s in Ca.    It was SOO HOT there.   I guess it was all the walking that we did while I was there.....he lives in a third floor apartment....41 steps up that is.   LOL   NO elevator at all....all man or woman power to get up there.   LOL    Really cool place....really old ( over 100 yrs old )....all the tenents seem to be like one big happy family and they have a really cool landlord.    I had a good time....but still glad to be back to home sweet home.

Well...tomorrow is my LAST full day in Ca,   Went and got a massage today...first one ever,   My son's GF gave it too me.   She is going to school,   Kinda hurt and kinda felt good,   LOL   I know that probably doesn't make lots of sense.   LOL   Oh well.....I am screwed up because of the 2 hour time difference anyway,   LOL   I am kinda looking forward to going home,   Kinda,  LOL   Here in Bakersfield it is HOT !!!!  Even feels much hotter than it would in texas.   I have had  a pretty good time....although I am almost scared to step on the scale when i get home.   Have a feeling I will be doing the 5 day pouch test when I get home to try to recover from the trip.   LOL   Oh well,,,,how often do you go out of town to see your son.   LOL   Love and miss you guys.

Hello Everyone,

I am getting ready to go on  yet another trip.   LOL  This time to Ca.   Just got back from La. yesterday from staying at Horseshoe Casino.    Had a lot of fun there and got hit on in the parking garage right before leaving.   LOL   I would have use to thought of that as a insult...but I take it now as a compliment.   To top it all off...it was a very nice looking businessman.    My hubby would have DIED had he been there....he was in the room asleep.   Oh well....I just mentioned my husband to the gentleman and he dropped it.   LOL  Made me feel good though.   Ya see....I don't see myself as others see me.   Although the photos of me in my underwear ( 6 weeks post op Lipo photos ) I think I look pretty good.   LOL   Hope that my son's never see these.   They will think their Mom has gone nuts posting photos like that.   LOL   OH well...If they can give others encouragement of maybe looking somewhat normal one day then it is worth it all.    Anyway...back to my oldest son.   I am leaving for Bakersfield next week and I am very excited about getting to spend some quality time with him.

I have a WOW moment today.   Actually I had one yesterday too.   Yesterday after trying to get back into the 130's....it happened !!!   I have had a extremely stressful week....we got conned into a house guest that lied to us in order to stay at my home.    My husband finally told this person yesterday that they had to go as of this AM.   Thank GOD the person is gone.   It is terrible to be such a nice person that you have problems telling others NO !!!!  I don't want to go into details about the situation but trust me....it will NEVER happen again.   LOL

Anyway back to the WOW moment I now weight 138 !!!  My lowest ever was 133 and I was only there for about a week after I had my LBL a year ago.    I have been bouncing between 146 and 141 for the past at least 6 months.   I was to the point that I never ever thought that I would ever see the 130's again.   LOL   SO glad that I am there again even though it took a very extremely situation to get me to that point.    Anyway at almost 3 yrs post op I am very glad that my "tool" still is working well for me.   God Bless you all and have a wonderful week and day today !!!

Hi Everyone,

Well....yesterday was my 55th birthday.   I spend 10 hours of my day helping my son and his girlfriend move into a new apartment.   I think that I alone made 5 trips over from the old to new apartment.   LOL   I walked up and down their stairs at least 30 to 40 times.  LOL  I sure did get in exercise.   In fact this morning when I got on the scale I had lost 2 lbs.   LOL  Great for me.   I am so pleased with the results so far from my lipo.   Didn't think at first that there was much improvement...but when I placed the now photos on my profile and looked at the pre op lipo photos....there is a huge difference.   My husband wasn't real keen on me posting more photos of me in my underwear but hey....IF the photos can give one person some much needed hope....then so be it.   It was worth it.   And besides...it isn't like they are looking at me in person anyway.   LOL   I would never ever do that anyway.   I am much too modest...but if any ladies that I meet want to see my scars from my PS...tell me if you meet me and I will show you in person...just not the men.  LOL  Have a wonderful evening.
