Surgeon Testimonial

Dr. Kim is the most careing doctor that I have ever met. He is completely concerned about our health and wellfare and wants to be sure that we are in tip top shape before he does surgery on you. If he has a doubt about anything that has to do with your health he will send you to a specialist for their opinion. I liked everything about Dr. Kim. He is very straightforward in what he says to you and he tells you exactly what you need to know. I haven't had my surgery yet. I am in the third month of dieting for my insurance (Aetna HMO). I go back on the 21st of October and I am unsure if I turn all of my WL journals into him then or turn them in to Pam ( his coordinator ). All of his staff are very knowledgeable of the surgery and what all that we will have to go through. I know that he does have a structured after care and he does tell us from the beginning about all the risks of the surgery. I would rate him and his staff 15 out of the 1-10. They are all very careing and friendly and care alot about their patients. He has monthly meetings that he really encourages his patients to attend after their surgery and he encouranges you to exercise and Walk. He is the best and anyone considering WLS in the Fort Worth are should consider using him. For a thin man ........He truely has a heart for the obese and really wants to help us to live a normal and healthly life.

Hi Everyone,

Well....yesterday was my 55th birthday.   I spend 10 hours of my day helping my son and his girlfriend move into a new apartment.   I think that I alone made 5 trips over from the old to new apartment.   LOL   I walked up and down their stairs at least 30 to 40 times.  LOL  I sure did get in exercise.   In fact this morning when I got on the scale I had lost 2 lbs.   LOL  Great for me.   I am so pleased with the results so far from my lipo.   Didn't think at first that there was much improvement...but when I placed the now photos on my profile and looked at the pre op lipo photos....there is a huge difference.   My husband wasn't real keen on me posting more photos of me in my underwear but hey....IF the photos can give one person some much needed hope....then so be it.   It was worth it.   And besides...it isn't like they are looking at me in person anyway.   LOL   I would never ever do that anyway.   I am much too modest...but if any ladies that I meet want to see my scars from my PS...tell me if you meet me and I will show you in person...just not the men.  LOL  Have a wonderful evening.

Well....I am so excited I had to post again.   LOL   I went to Dr. Rumalla this PM to get the foam packing from around my incissions from my lipo on tuesday.   It is thursday today.   Well...the good doctor is moving into a different office temporary till his new building is open in Sept.   The office that I was in had no Full length mirror to look into.   So I just looked down....Miss Muffintop looked as if she had started to deflate.   So he took the foam from the binder and tightened it.   Then told me to keep it as tight as I could stand it.   Well....He didn't have it that tight.   So a little while after I was home....I went to my bedroom to look in a full length mirror and get the binder as tight as I could stand it.   Well...to my amazement she had shrunk more.   Also I have 2 incissions not 1.   LOL  That is OK with me...but then I tightened the binder as tight as I could stand.   When my hubby came home....I went into the bedroom to remove the binder and show him....and low and behold...I was even flatter than earlier when I had tightened this binder.   I am just amazed and so thrilled.   Who knows....I may end up with a flat or somewhat flat tummy after all.   That would be SO Amazing if that were to happen.  I just had to blog that in my profile.

I can't believe that I haven't posted since my lipo procedure was done.   Gee...that was a peice of cake surgery.   Lasted a whole 30 minutes....woke up in the OR with the tube in my throat....but when they realized I was awake they removed it.   LOL  Then the next thing I knew...I was in the recovery.   I was wide awake !!!   I couldn't believe that it was over.  Dr. Rumalla told me that he removed 3/4 lb.   It was hard for me to believe that was all the fat that I had.   Gee.....looked like alot more to me.   I can say that this has been very easy.   I have taken NO PAIN MEDS at all.   I am sore so don't think that I am not....but hey  it is do-able.   LOL   Not enough soreness to even take Tylenol.   But my swelling is OUT OF CONTROL !!!  LOL   I now look about 5 months pregnant.   I hope that goes down soon.   In about 2 hours I go to Dr. Rumalla and get to see what I look like under the binder.   I know I will be HUGE.....because of all the swelling that I am experiencing.   But hey....my body does LOVE to swell !!!  LOL   I hate it though.....but with the lipo I do believe that I am swelling more than with my LBL.    I will probably have to wait months to see some results...but then you never know.   I may be down by next week but I rather doubt it.   I am just so glad that this is now behind me.   SO glad that I am not in lots of pain since there were some on the PS board that said that lipo was VERY PAINFUL !!!!!   I had my doubts though.....I had lipo with my LBL and never hurt from that either.   I do have a high pain tolerance though.    Plastic surgery is NOT easy...but SOO REWARDING in the end !!!!

Hello Everyone,

Well....day after tomorrow I am going into the hospital for lipo to the thing that I have been calling Miss Muffintop.   I will be so grateful for this huge roll of skin and fat to be gone.   Now...that being said ALL I am having done is LIPO !!!!   I don't really know what to expect.   As you can see from my photo this muffintop is huge...or it looks that way to me.   I really don't know if my skin is going to hang or what where the fat has been.   Dr. Rumalla said that he will be removing about 24 oz of fat and thinning out my thick skin.    Some have said that lipo really is very painful.   But I had lipo done with my LBL last year and I didn't even bruise from it.   Not totally sure what to expect.   I am going into it praying that I will be pleased with the results that I end up with.   I hope that I am right.    Sometimes the muffintop doesn't look so bad...then at others it is totally gross.    I just can't wait to get the fat out and the skin thinned out too.   Hope that I am happy with the way I look after the deed is done.   I am SOO TIRED of feeling that I look gross.   Not that anyone really sees me in my underwear but me and my hubby.   Oh well....I guess I will accept what I end up with.
