Surgeon Testimonial

Gilberto Ungson, M.D.
Having corresponded with Dr. Ungson only via email pre-op, I was anxious to meet him in person. He was just as nice, caring and sensitive as he was in his emails. A truely gifted surgeon with a top notch surgical team. The care at CIMA hospital was second to none. Some of the nurses did not speak much English, but the majority of them did.

Got an e-mail from Diane's husband last night and one from Diane today! She has been sick with a virus on top of surgery! She just went to hotel last evening and will see Dr. U on Monday and I think come home on Tuesday.

Debbie informs us you came through surgery just fine although you feel like you've been hit by a truck! That's all normal, and will go away real soon! Hang in there! You made it to the other side!! LeaAnn

The Scale Moved!!!
on October 31, 2006 7:43 am
Yea....the scale IS still working! Down 2 pounds this morning. Finally hit 80 pounds gone. Yipppeee. Hope to lose a bit more before I hit another stand still. It gets so discouraging. Never thought I'd be so excited for two pounds, but boy am I!!!

Weight loss had really S L O W E D
on October 26, 2006 4:53 am

I feel like I'm singing the same old song, but my weight loss has almost come to a stand still. I lost two pounds in September and so far only one pound for October. Of course I am disappointed, but trying to keep my chin up. I never could have lost 76 pounds without DS. I feel great and look better than I have in years. That is nothing to sneeze at. I am going to kick up the exercise and see if that makes a difference. Keeping fingers crossed that I am NOT done losing.

Another stall = (
on August 8, 2006 12:00 am
8-8-06 Weight loss still seems to be stalled. I am trying very hard not to be discouraged. I have read so much about plateaus and how long they can last. It's still frustrating though. That coupled with my massive hairloss is making me want to pout a bit, but how can I??? I have lost 66 pounds in 5 months !!! Reminder to self...be thankful for what you have. The rest will fall into place.

Only ONE pound!!!
on July 23, 2006 12:00 am
7-23-06 Since I last posted I have lost a grand total of ONE POUND. It's a bit frustrating, but looking at the big picture, I'm closing in on 70 pounds lost in just over 4 months. I could never have done that without Dr. Ungson and DS. I sometimes feel ashamed that I want MORE instead of being grateful for what I have lost. I'll continue the marathon workouts, protein, water, protein, water and try to stay off the scale so much.

ONEDERLAND!!!!
on July 1, 2006 12:00 am
7-1-06 ONEDERLAND!!!! Finally, the scale has moved. I have been hanging out around 202-203 for the last few weeks. What a wonderful surprise when I stepped on the scale this afternoon and saw 199.0! I'm about a week shy of being 4 months out. I am soooo happy things are finally moving again. I was just sure I would be the ONE person the ds didn't work for. I love Dr. Ungson AND my ds!
