Surgeon Testimonial Alfonso Torquati M.D. Was concerned a bit about his background at first, all degrees were from italy. My first meeting with him and his staff put all my fears and concerns to rest. Answered all of our questions and discussed pros and cons of surgery. His office staff are just wonderful. They have been true advocates for me as a apatient each time I encounter them (hard to get a hold of them post surgery but understand it is a busy place!). Dr. Torquati did not have much of a bedside manner, hard to when escorting around a crew of interns (teaching hospital) but wasn't looking for that from a Dr. - competence was the goal and he had that! I would recommend Dr. Torquati and the rest of the staff to anyone considering having WLS. they changed my life! Member Interests

Heavy all my life, but happy, and married to the most wonderful woman in the world. I wanted to share many more years with her and be healthy and my surgery is giving me that opportunity. Oh, the Bengal thing! Been a fan all my life, grew up in Steeler's country (NE Ohio), but Mom and Dad were Bengals fans and so am I. I work at my alma mater in the financial aid office and couldn't be happier!
