Surgeon Testimonial

Jeffrey Lord, M.D.
Dr. Lord is an excellent choice for a Bariatric Surgeon. He knows his stuff and makes sure that his patients know their stuff as well. Every step, starting from Nutrition, insurance, to self-care and education, Dr. Lord and his staff have made an awesome job out of surgical success. I would definately recommend Dr. Lord or his associate, Dr. Freedman to anyone contemplating weight loss surgery.

Appt dates finally....
on January 8, 2007 11:45 am
Well, it's not much, but I finally got someone to call me back regarding my consult appointment.  I see the Psychologist first, on Jan. 31, then the doctor on March 9th.  I guess he's really booked out!  Well, at least I got some appointments made!!  I still have to get my 4 months of PCP appts, but now I feel as though I am at least doing something constructive.

~Pre-op insurance paperwork hell~

Okay, so I thought I had all my paper work in order - six months of weight loss history through my PCP.  I went to the mandatory seminar with Dr. Lord and spoke afterwards with the insurance person-- my paper work is lacking!  Only 2 months are acceptable, so I still have to see my PCP for 4 more months- ARGH!!  I have already scheduled my next 4 months worth of weight managmt.appts. with my PCP now, so I just have to wait it out.
On the bright side, Dr. Lord's office will still continue to do my pre-op appts., so hopefully by the time I get my PCP papers in order I will be ready for a surgery date.  Waiting, waiting, waiting.....
