My surgeon was wonderful.My first impression was that he was very knowledgeable. That impression did not change over time.he is very knowledgeable. His office staff are very compassionate and understanding. They also really know what they are doing.The thing I liked least was that they were so far away from where I live. When you use Mexicali Bariactrics and Dr Aceves you should prepare to be treated like royalty. You will have every need met, from the time you arrive till the time you leave. This was the best experience I could have hoped for. I wouldn't change a thing. For Me traveling to Mexico was the right decision.

Well, I am finally in onederland! Thought this day would never happen. Weight is 198, this is a total loss of 80 lbs. But I have to say the last few lbs. have been very hard to lose. I have been noticing a change in my body. I have not had to use a hand fan in church this summer, and now late fall early winter, I'm actually cold alot. I have been having to sleep in socks and I can actually sleep in long sleeves. This is something I never have been able to do. I always just thought i was real hot natured, but it seems that i just was so heavy that the fat acted like a coat. The more I lose the colder I get. WOW this is so cool. I guess I'm finally becoming normal. Well thats all for now. Gotta go ride motorcycles in the Christmas Parade.            PEACE  IN  JESUS

Hi everyone, this is the first time to write you since surgery. It has been 5 mos. and I am doing great. I started out  the pre-op diet weighing 278. I lost 17 lbs on the pre-op fast. On the day of surgery I weighed 261. Now, after 2 fills , my weight is 230. this gives me a total weight loss of 48 lbs. I know this is a little slow, but thank God I am losing. I am learning to let my band work for me. It has been a major adjustment learning how to work this new tool. I have had many episodes of sliming and throwing up. (especially after my last fill, as I finally had major restriction) But things are looking up. I definately would do it all over again. I am beginning to love my band. Well, just thought you guys would like an update.  Later,   Tameria

My Story

My name is Tameria Janowski. I am 47and work in a group home. I teach basic living skills to mentally retarded adults. I have been doing this for 10 yrs. I love my career and all the consumers that I work with. I am 5'2" and weigh 276 lbs. My goal is to have gastric banding. I need to lose at least 125 lbs. I also have osteoarthritis in both knees. I am in need of double knee replacement.Oh well first things first. Iam married to the best man in the whole wide world.(in my opinion) Daniel and I have been married for 21 years, and have 2 children,17 and 25. We are born again christians,and very devoted to each other and the work of the LORD.
