Surgeon Testimonial

Preston Carter, M.D.
My surgeon was Dr. Beekley, however he is no longer at Ft. Campbell. He is now at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington. He was great. I absolutely love him. Date of Gastric 9/6/06
My Tummy tuck was done by Preston carter at MAMC in Ft. Lewis WA. I had the tummy tuck done in August of 2007. I had 14.8lbs of skin removed from my hips and tummy. I had an allerigic reaction and infection to the sutures and had to have a revision and debreading done in Aug 08.
Even given the complications I do not nor do I think I ever will, regret my decision to have the surgery!

My Story

I had the Open Gastric ByPass on September 06, of 2006. The day of Surgery I weighed in at 242. Today February 07, of 2007 I weighed in at 174. I am still technically Obese however I am no longer Morbidly Obese. I am happy but it is a never ending battle. I still fight the head hunger, and Still crave sweets. I do not eat sweets because I am afraid of Dumping. It scares me and I do not want to go through it. My husband is deployed to the middle east and it is hard going through this with out my "best friend" to share my ups and downs with. One thing that is keeping me going right now is that when my husband returns he will come home to a "new wife". It scares me and excites me at the same time. I am worried that he may not know how to deal with his "stranger" wife. When he left (just after Thanksgiving Day) I had not lost that much weight, and when he returns I will be much different than he remembers. But I am aslo really excited to see his reaction to his "new wife".  So as of today that is my thoughts and story.
