First off the grey cat is not me. lol .That is my moms cat SHADOW. I dont have a face picture of me yet.Time for the change of my life. I have attended the MASS information meeting last week on Oct 11th 2007. There were about 75 people there getting basic info. Dr Fontana was the Dr in charge of the meeting. I really liked him. I have gone through the whole insurance process 3 years ago and had full aproval. Then i chickened out. Looking back I dont think I was ready emotionaly. Now I see so many other health problems I am getting and I am more scared NOT to get the surgery done.

husband going with me--Tuesday Oct 23rd 2007

Going to another MASS INFO meeting tomorrow night. I told my husband last night of my plans for surgery. He was very supportive but shocked as well. He believes our kids should know asap. So thats the plan. Tomorrow night I will take husband to the meeting. He will really get alot of info. I dont want him to be scared because I will need his support when I freak. lol We will sit the kids down this coming weekend and I will tell them. I plan on having some print out about it so they will understand more and not be afraid.
Back to painting. I am working on lighthouses this week. We have our next show in 2 weeks. Gotta make $$$$ for Holiday spending.

Boring just waiting for next appointment. It is to get the insurance all in order. That should be no problem. I have called Tricare and it is covered with no prior approval needed. I did figure out how to add pictures here on this page. Thats a big thing for me to figure out!

My Story

Time for the change of my life. I have attended the MASS information meeting last week on Oct 11th 2007. There were about 75 people there getting basic info. Dr Fontana was the Dr in charge of the meeting. I really liked him. I have gone through the whole insurance process 3 years ago and had full aproval. Then i chickened out. Looking back I dont think I was ready emotionaly. Now I see so many other health problems I am getting and I am more scared NOT to get the surgery done.
I have my next appointment October 31 ( Halloween) to get the insurance info all in order. My one on one Surgeon appointment is Nov 13 2007. A day after my oldest child turns 17. That is the time I can ask any questions and he can make sure all is in order and see if I need any other tests before we go further.
One of my best friends and her husband had gastric bypass with in the last 3 years and they look just super! I am sso lucky to have them to talk too. The wife actually had Dr. Fontana ! That is why I chose him.
I have not told my husband yet. I am not sure why. I need to find the right time. It is a big decision. I hope he is behind me. I need to do this for me. I want to be here for the next 30 or more years. I want to have grandkids and have more time with my husband. I have prayed about this for a while now listening for Gods answer. I know this is the right move.
