Surgeon Testimonial

John Ganser, M.D.
Dr. Ganser was the physician who gave the free seminar that I attended, and right away I thought him to be a kind and caring man. When I went to my first visit with the doctor, I had the same feelings.

Hi,

My name is Laurie and I am a single Mom to two boys and I am hoping to be accepted for this surgery.   All of my life I have been the chubby baby, the fat kid, the fat teen and now as an adult I am normally the heaviest person in any given group.

Nine years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was pregnant with my second child, I still have the diabetes and am looking forward to this tool to  help me kick this awful disease.

Down to 144 as of today, that is a loss of 77 pounds.  I cannot believe I can wear a Old Navy size 0 now.  My family is saying that I look sick and that I am too thin and that I need to stop losing.

When I was larger, that was bad and now that I am thinner they still talk about me and how awful I look.  It hurts my feelings.

I have now lost 68# and fit into a size 2 (Old Navy) with room to spare still adjusting to how people react to me now.  Diabetes is gone, off all meds except thyroid....

Peace to all

As of the 19th I am 5 months post-op and feeling fantastic.  To date, I have lost 66 pounds

I have went from a size 18 to a 6, and can wear  a 4 in some sizes.  I began my journey @ 221 pounds, and to date I am 155.   My BMI went from 38, and now I am a 25.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how my life would change just by the way I felt about myself, I have zero regrets.

I have found that I love bebe, and the jeans fit so great.  To all of us, whereever we are in this journey....don't give up!!!!!

Peace out

Wow, it has been forever since I have posted.  I have a new job that I love and will be starting school in June!!

I am at a plateau, but the up side is I am a size 8.  and a medium top.  I have decided that I will be looking into a tummy tuck.

HAPPY EASTER TO ALL

My Story

My story is like so many other stories I have read on here.  I have been heavy ever since I can remember, I was always the biggest kid in my class.  Now I am usually the biggest person in the group.

I have been a type II diabetic for 8 years now and I am getting sicker instead of getting well.  I feel this is my last chance to live and enjoy life at a "normal" size.
