Well i had my appointment on the 12 of september. Went really well. Upper Gi came out good, and ulatrasound and all the blood work. Only thing was my liver was big, so 2 weekes before surgary i have to go on a optifast diet..  At this point i ask him *are you going to do the surgaury and he said YES!!! I was so happy . The only downfall is that i wont be booked till sometime in January, and hes thinking some time in early spring.. So again i m stuck waiting ... but at least i know i will be getting it down...  I thought about going to the states. but i am going on a trip to dominican in January with some close freinds.. so figured i will go there and have fun and not worry about anything, cause honestly not sure if i would go if i had surgury before i went. Just in case anything went wrong . 
Now i cant wait tto get my date!!!! Will keep everyone posted!!!

Well i finally got the tests done this morning that dr Reed has ordered(upper GI, ultrasound). Now i go and see him in September 12. Im hoping at this time that i get a date. This journey is taking forever, now woundering if i shoulg go to the states. Althought i have lost some weight in the last month 8 pounds.Hopefully appointment goes well in September will keep everyone posted Bye for now!!!

Hello Everyone.. My name is Sherry, i  am 28 years old , 5'11 , weight 323. I finally had my doctors appointment on June 4 for a consultaion with Dr Reed in Guelph, took me a year and a half to get this. The appt went good, he is sending me for a upper GI and a ultrasound (which is booked for Aug 22) then i have to meet with his nutriest on the 16 of this month, then dont see him till after the tests come back, sept 12. Can't wait . He told me that OHIP will cover to get gastric bypass , but if i lose 23 pounds they won't, funny don't you think!!!!  Well just on here looking for ppl that have went thru it , hope to hear from u soon  , Will keep updating!!!
