Ok so, I have gone through all the tests and now I am waiting for the Sax apt. on Friday.  Today is Monday ……. And its only 30 min. into Monday .  This may be a hard week. LOL.  I think the thing is I am on pins and needles about how long the wait will be.  I’m hopping for less then 30 days.  Im just ready  for the tools. And to continue the work.  I talked to mom today about what her experience has been  ( she is 2 years out) and she keeps saying its different for everyone.  Thanks mom!  I did spend 3 to 4 hours in the pool today  (Sunday) and that felt good. It did take from my walking time so I will have to get on that today(Monday).  Its now 40 min. Into Monday.  The last time I spoke to the Dr. he said I may want to look into the RNY  and I did .  WLS for dummies ,  a lot of web surfing, the meeting at Miriam Hospital, talking with mom, food journal.  I have to say the man knows his field.  My mind was very set on the band , but now I see he was right I personally  am a RNY girl.  Ok this blog was all over the place and for my first one at that.  LOL.  Next time I will have to try to be a little more flowie.  If anyone has gone to Dr. Sax and  can tell me how long after  pre op tests  your date for surgery was I would be grateful.

My Story

My story?  Wow how hard is it to talk just about my self.  Ok lets see……  I’m 33 years old and last year was told I had type 2 diabetes.  At that point my primary said that WLS would be best for me.  My mother had had it  a year before and it was proving to be a wonderful tool for her.  But I was not ready, looking back now I needed to begin the presses.   Well, we all have our own path and time for everything.   Anyway, the year passed and my health became a daily problem and after a trip to the ER for Very High Blood Pressure and sugar levels that I am embarrassed   I let get so high.  I decided it was time.  Time to get healthy , time to live, time to love me like I have not in a long time.  So that’s what I am doing.  I know this is going to be a hard and long road but I am sooo glad to be on it and not under it.  In just  five days I go back to my Dr. to talk about all my test results and hopefully a date.  I’m nerves, exited and full of motivation.  I have much support and have worked very hard to lose 10 pounds from the first appointment I had  with Dr. Sax, only  a short time ago.  That’s some of my story .  More to come.
