Surgeon Testimonial Alfredo Fernandez, M.D. I choose Dr. Fernandez for RNY. Originally, I had another surgeon in mind I went to that surgeon's seminar which was very brief and to the point. I did not feel a connection with him. I was not convinced and started having second thoughts. A few months later I was referred to Dr Fernandez by a friend. I attended his informational seminar. From the moment I got there I was impressed and confident in his skills. This man truly care for his patient. I learned in more detail about the lap band and RNY. It was very informative and providing all the information I needed to decide which procedures I wanted. Dr. Fernandez welcomed questions. I was very clear with my physican and the hospital --- when I requested the time for my surgery. I asked for early morning 8-9am. I was told 9am. Then it was changed to 10am. Now, they have me scheduled for 11:30am. If they change it one more time I might request another date. I don't want to worry all day over this. I want to wake up, go in, have it, and be done with it. So, Monday I have to be to the hospital at 9am. Get antibotics and everything prior to surgery. I'm praying that everything goes as well--smoothly--- as it has so far. I will keep posting!!
