It's been exactly one week since my surgery and am feeling better with each new day.  Encountered a few complications while in the hospital that didn't surprise me but due to a good doctor and good medical care will be okay.  I can't wait to be to take a nice warm shower and feel like a human being.  Still a few more days before I can do so but it's coming.  I'm really amazed at how the craving for food has not been an issue.  I did have a moment the other day though after smelling fresh french fries and wondered if I would be okay just to lick one.  How crazy was that!  Needless to say I came to my senses fast and moved on.  Crazy, crazy, crazy!  Am in phase II for food and doing good.  I am having trouble taking some of my meds.  I take several scripts per day and found that crushing them and putting them in applesauce didn't work well. The taste was more than I could tolerate.  I'm going to spread my scripts throughout the day today instead of all at once and see if that works better.
