I haven't met with Dr. Williams yet but from what I've researched, I'm thinking I'll like him. My previous experience with Univ. of Penn was a wonderful experience. During my pregnancy I was under the care of Dr. Robert Debbs and he and his staff were absolutely wonderful. So I'm hoping for a similar experience with Dr. Williams and his staff.

Fill Number 4
on February 16, 2008 5:20 pm

2-16-08

Hi,
So on Feb. 6th, I went for my 4th fill.  The doc put in .5 cc and thought maybe I was too tight.  After a brief discussion we decided that we would give it a try and if I was having any problems, I'd come back for a small unfill.

So I've followed the "fill diet."  Now that I've moved onto solids and....... I know I have restriction.  I'm TIGHT!!!  I've lost 7 pounds in the last 10 days.  So far, I haven't been able to eat much besides a few bites of chicken and chilli.  I've gotten stuck a few times in the last week and a half.  I'm trying to track what causes my stuck episodes to see if it's something I'm doing or is my band too tight.  Needless to say, I'm happy with the results although it is a lil frustrating that my meals are so limited.

So my plan is to eat as much protein as possible, ride this fill out as long as I can and pray that an unfill is not necessary.

Until next time,
~ANM

Going for fill # 4
on January 21, 2008 12:33 pm

Hi All,
I decided that it's time for another fill.  I've been batteling 2 to 4 pounds for the last several weeks and I think it's time for another fill.  Because I'm not able to eat what I use to eat, I had convinced myself that I still had proper restriction. I had forgotten about the time when I was satisfied by eating 1/2 of a deli sandwich for lunch.  I'm looking foward to Feb. 6th and seeing the scale move again.

I'm also looking forward to getting past the cold winter months so that I can get outside and walk on a more regular basis.

Praying to stay motivated and focused....
Until next time,
~ANM

A New Year - A New Me
on January 4, 2008 8:56 am
1-4-08

Hi Family,
I haven't posted in a while.  I guess I got somewhat off track.  I skate around that statement because I haven't gained any weight  but the pounds have fluctuated up and down since my last posting.

With the New Year upon us, I'm very happy to start off the New Year almost 50 pounds lighter than I've been in several years.  I can notice my weight loss in how I feel and the way my clothes fit.  It feels good to no longer wear a size 26 bottoms.  I'm wearing a size 22 now.  I still wear some of my larger tops but I'm being told that they don't look good on me   That's criticism I can take!  LOL

I still have good restriction since my 3rd fill in October so I’m not planning to have an adjustment anytime soon.  I just need to better watch what I eat and exercise regularly.

So I'm praying that the next 6 months my weight loss will be easily noticed and I'll continue to enjoy the health benefits and energy associated with WLS.

Wishing you all the best!

5 Months Post-op
on November 13, 2007 1:49 pm

11-13-07

Hi All,
Yesterday, marked 5 months of being banded.  In all, things are going well.  For the last month, I've been going up and down by 1 or 2 pounds so I didn't have any substanial weight loss.  I did lose about 1.5 inches all over.  Despite not losing much this last month, I have much more energy that I did five months ago. I'm also happy to wear clothes that I haven't worn in years.  I even have some clothes that I never wore and now are too big!!!

I have an adjustment scheduled for 11/26 and I hope to post more weight loss in the following months.  I'll post some pics too!
Until next time,
~ANM

Hi All,
Today, I'm wearing a size 22 dress pants.  I haven't worn a size 22 anything in years!  I should be happy right?  Well for some reason that I can't put my finger on, I'm a lil sad about my weight loss today.  I've been online all morning reading success stories looking for inspiration.

In any event, I'm very blessed and I know that!
Until next time,
~ANM
