Surgeon Testimonial

Margaret M. Inman M.D.

I chose Dr. Inman to be my surgeon simply because she is the only Medicare approved DS surgeon in Indiana. My initial consultation was on December 4th, 2006, and really liked what I heard. Both Dr. Inman and her staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to answer any questions. rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrn rnMom & Dadrn rnrn

Many Thanks
on April 25, 2007 2:20 am
Just wanted to make known how thankful I am for this site and the staff.  It was great to meet many of them at the Irvine convention!  Poor Bruce had to sit for hours to video us for OH TV, but was soo friendly about it.  And if you weren't there, you should have seen it!  We were lined up to spend 5-10 minutes talking about ourselves and answering questions from Bill Torres. It was absolutely hilarious!  I for one had a fantastic time in California, and it was my first time in CA, so that made it even better!  I can't wait to go back!  So, thanks to all of you for what you do :)

About what Jackie Guerra said ~
on April 17, 2007 3:59 pm
Jackie Guerra is NOT ashamed nor afraid to tell anyone she had wls.  She is outspoken, funny, and just a great person!  She is truly an advocate for wls, and when she talks about it, she MEANS it!

I have been very selective about who I tell, and I know many OH members have been too. We don't want people giving us their thoughts on why we shouldn't have it, or hear them tell us to just exercise and eat less.  Well, I'm over that now!!

I don't care who knows, or what THEY think!!  If they tell me they know someone that had complications from it, I'll tell them I know HUNDREDS of people that have not.  If they tell me to eat less, I'll tell them that is what I will be doing!  I'll tell them I NEED surgery to help me!  I'll tell them I'm proud to talk about it, and even more PROUD that I am givin the opportunity to have surgery!

My name is Sally and I am having BARIATRIC surgery!

If it was Jackie's intention to motivate us, I'd say she did one hell of a job!  Thanks Jackie!

Lots of things to talk about re: Irvine
on April 17, 2007 12:58 am
Greetings all...  So far you've seen many posts about the wonderful time we had in Irvine, and I must agree with all of them!  There are some great pictures posted so far too!  Normally I would be embarrassed as all hell to have my pic shown, but now that I have a surgery date, I don't care! I won't look like that for much longer, so all is good!  So here are some things I wanted to mention in regards to my trip :)

I chose American Airlines for my flight and I couldn't have been happier.  They were happy to accomodate me with getting an open seat next to me, and even giving me a seatbelt extender.  They were absolutely wonderful, and I didn't feel embarrassed at all around the staff.  So in my opinion, American Airlines is "fat friendly" and I give them an A+

Crowne Plaza - wow.  Such an awesome place to have a convention!  And let's talk about comfort!  Those beds and pillows were to die for!!!  I want to live at that hotel!!!!  Also, when I was checking out, a couple of the clerks told me how great we were as a group, and that we were just the kindest people they've ever had!  Woohooo for OH!!  What a compliment!!!!  A big applause to everyone!

Jackie Guerra = super awesome fabulous wonderful funny beautiful !!  I'm lovin her AND her hubby Bill!  They rocked!

I was thrilled to see those I've met before, and excited to meet those I haven't!!  Such a wonderful group of people you are here.

Becky - If you think she's sweet on the board... you should see her in person!  Oh, and she doesn't know how to order food correctly :)  LOL  DIP sauce!
Michelle - My breakfast face girl rocks the world. And she does a mean Indiana Jones!
Kim - This girl can Sing some Pat Benatar!!!  Awesome at karaoke!!!  You GO!
Sarah - The magic changer.  Only she can go from fully clothed to a bathing suit in public without anyone knowing!
Laura - my Gunker gal!  Awesome Awesome awesome!
Tooter - My ANGEL!  I sooo love you!
Mish - My 19 year old friend!  What a riot to hang with!
Mary Ann - Such style! I LOVE my bag !!!!  I need her to show me how to buy clothes!
Kathy - My Pink Flamingo Shuttle Buddy!!!
Amy, Kenneth, Jolene, Tami, Freding, Rebecca, Dr Marcy, oh gosh..  EVERYONE!  You all rock my world!

I'm so glad I went to Irvine. I had such the best time, I can't wait for the next!!
