Surgeon Testimonial

Shawn Garber, M.D., F.A.C.S.
-This is my personal opinion of Dr. Garber -
I really liked Dr. Garber. when I first met him, he answered almost all of my questions before I even asked. I like the fact that he has done over 2000 of lap RNY surgeries. His office is packed!!! I guess that comes with a great surgeon. Dr. Garber has an excellent aftercare program - I was impressed at how structured the follow up will be :) He fully discussed the benefits and risks of the surgery. He told me to call or email him with any questions that I may have after our consult. I did take advantage of emailing him and he emailed me back pretty quick - usually in a few hours. He requires quite a few pre op visits in order to be cleared for surgery. The office staff is friendly and try to keep things moving.

Stephanie - office manager at Dr Garber's office is amazing and a sweetheart :) She is SO helpful. She is organzed and KNOWS her stuff.

Sharon, The nutritionist is encouraging and supportive.

Donna Franco, PA - is wonderful!

Where have I've been ....

Hi all,

I’ve been MIA (in posting on my profile for a while) Still struggling a bit trying to get back to 142. I’ve been off track for a while and seem to have SUCH a difficult time getting back on track. I will have a few good days then a 1 or 2 bad days, it really stinks! I hate it. I am praying for a good week! An entire good week, which is what I really need!!!! That is my mini goal. I cannot understand how I just can’t *pull it together* I know I need to take baby steps… 1 day at a time. I just want to be back at 142 - well, yesterday!!! (can you say impatient?)

The summer and all of the parties, get-together’s and mini get-a-ways don’t help me in getting back on track.

Plus the gas prices and $$$$ stress is another factor. Still, I need to learn how to deal with life and not use FOOD and GRAZING as a crutch or to medicate me.

I know that I have the power to do this …It’s time to dig deep Britt!

Hugs and love!
