It's just NOT my fault...really, I promise! posted on 11/21/08 3:37 pm
Well, it isn't!!!!
I had to call and cancel my long awaited cpap mechine appointment AS WELL AS my vascular surgeon appointment.
Why you may wonder.
Well, being the wonderful human being you are, I will tell you.
My DH is having surgery # F-I-V-E, yes 5!!! this year. I tell ya it has been one heck of a year. (think of us on Monday at 6 am, please)
So the implications of having to post pone my one month (mandatory unwavering) cpap prior to pulm release is pushed back that many days.
The irony in this is that I was to go in on Monday to pick up my machine and guess what they called today to tell me that they wanted to know what mask I wanted. I called the medical equipment company and I ask, so you have not ordered it yet? No, was the employees response. So, I ask, then my appointment on Monday is useless as you won't have my mask. The response...well, yes basically.
I would have been sooooo hot to get up there and find that they had neglected to call me and tell me they would not be ready.
the flip side (YES, I CAN STILL FIND GOOD THINGS IN THIS SITUATION) is that the vascular surgeon appointment not being until Jan is really not a problem at all. I just wanted to have it done. The Janauary date is not pushing back ANY dates for me.
In the meantime I have been thinking about what I really want. I want to make it to about 170 for my first post surgical goal (ok, minus 25, 50, 75, 100 and breaking into onederland not withstanding.) When I get there I will reconsider what I want and if that is where I really want to stay. I have been to 170 before and everyone told me I was getting too skinny. I did not think I was too skinny...so we will see what will happen when I get there. I believe I will still feel that I need to loose abit more but we will see what the future holds when I get there.
well, that is my latest post.
hoping you are all well

Well, as I said It's not my fault.
