My story..hmmm well here it goes...I have been overweight ever since I was a little girl. Last year I finally decided it was time to do something about my weight and decided to go through w/surgery because I had tried dieting and going to the gym and that never worked for me. So on August 6, 2007 weighing 318 lbs  I chose to have the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass and I had laparoscpic surgery by Dr. Milton Owens. I will be 5 months post-op 1/6/08 current weight is 257 lbs. It's coming off slowly, but it's COMING OFF! I am very happy to have had this surgery and look forward to a healthier lifestyle.
