I had lapband surgery in July of 2007.  I did lose 70 pounds the first year through hard, hard work.  Then I developed a leak and because I was self pay, I didn't have it fixed.  I regained half the weight back.  In September of 2010 my band broke in half causing me a trip to the ER due to extreme pain.  I also had a slip. I learned that weight loss surgery was no longer excluded from my policy!  I then searched and found my wonderful doctor, Dr. Nowzaradan, who took on my complicated revision.  He revised my broken band to the sleeve on December 27, 2010.  I love my sleeve!  I have restriction.  I am losing weight and I feel wonderful!  Life is good...
