Surgeon Testimonial

Kenneth M.R. Warnock M.D.
My first impression of Dr. Warnock is the compassion he had for me and my health. He looks in your eyes and really listens. He is not appalled at a person's obesity. He told me he would be my doctor for life and he has certainly been that. Until Dr. Warnock, I've never had a doctor who gives out his home phone number to his patients or who will return calls quickly. He has helped me with every medical need that has arisen. I'm 2 years out and he still encourages me & loves me like family. He is 5th in the nation in bariatric surgery and has done WLS for 25+ years. He's worth the drive. He's our "angel in cowboy boots"!

Other than waiting for my doctor appts I can't find anything negative to say about him. Even being in the waiting room isn't bad because of all the talking/sharing we all do. On the flip side, he has offered to meet me on a Sunday when I've had complications. That's a first!

Making the Journey Together......What an inspiration to share my weight loss journey with you and hopefully encourage you in your endeavor.  My name is Vicki and I lived as an overweight woman for over 35 years.  Through a series of God-led events, I had my gastric bypass revision on 12/15/05 by the skillful hands of Dr. Kenneth Warnock in Wichita Falls, TX.  Weighing 301 lbs at my heaviest, within 10 months I had lost to my goal of 150 lbs.  On 10/2/06 I had a LBL by PS, Scott Harris, in Plano.  He removed 12.5 lbs of flesh and gave me a new lease on life as a person with a new body.  On 4/4/08 I had a breast reduction, BL, BA, and lipo.

Throughout this process, I've learned how to enjoy life without the physical & health problems that plagued me for so many years.  I've been given the health and smaller body so that I can enjoy getting on the floor and playing with my grandchildren.  I've enjoyed many "firsts" - first time to hold my grandchildren closely on my lap, to be able to pick things off the floor, able to tie my own shoes, sit in a booth, cross my legs and fit in a plane & car seats without use of a seat belt extender.  With every pound I lost and every reconstructive surgery I've had, my self esteem has been boosted and I am overwhelmed with the gift God has provided me through this experience.

If you are contemplating whether to have WLS, please read the biographies of the many successful people in OH.  The support on this site is tremendous and helps me to be the success I know I am and can be.
