Surgeon Testimonial

David Lauter M.D.
David Lauter is the best. He is very reassuring, calm, relaxed and cute which is a bonus. My first impression was very professional. I was the only person to show up for a seminar but he did it anyway.
His staff are fine. I did not feel any undue emphasis on aftercare he went over his program a few times and the resources available to me such as the support group.
He gave me the statistics on the various types of surgery.
He made sure I was aware I could call him anytime if I needed to talk.
He has an excellent reputation in this area and has been doing this surgery for many years.
Overall I rate him a 10 and would recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.

One year down
on April 23, 2011 3:19 pm
Had my one year anniversary this week and I feel great.  A little disappointed at the slow weight loss but
thrilled with the low blood pressure and cholesterol. I am down 62lbs on a good day and 59 on a not so good
day  I feel I have to diet now which is depressing but I really really want to complete this journey so I will do whatever is necessary
Congratulations to all you losers out there  keep it up

Mystery
on August 4, 2010 12:03 pm
I seem to experience a definate pattern of wt loss. Several days of no loss-then a 2-4lb loss overnight followed
by a 1-2lb gain the next day regardless of what I eat.  Does anyone else experience this. It is really frustrating to
see the gain after a nice loss. Yesterday I was 200lb and I was excited to get below 200. I ate 650 calories of
shakes and good food, went to the gym and did a good cardio workout. Low and behold today I am 201
The wonder of weight loss.  Any advice????

Support meeting
on June 11, 2010 7:42 pm
Went to my group meeting last night at Overlake. Great group of people in all stages of wt loss from thinking about it to several years out. I love hearing the stories and always come away feeling good.        If you are in this area you should come sometime. I have made a friend on line and she and I talk on line and meet at the mall which is great. We have different Dr's but the same hospital so it is interesting to compare notes.  Also we are close in surgery dates and weight loss, both complaining it is too slow   Had a craving for pot roast so I made one and portioned it out into several containers and froze them. had one tonight and low and behold I kept it down I think I've finally mastered the eat slow routine.  Also had a few grapes and that helps with the no drink with meals..  Off to read my Beck Diet Solutions now. Have a good weekend everyone

NEW ATTITUDE
on June 6, 2010 10:44 am
Thank you all so much for all your positive feedback. You are all great I am feeling better about my wt. mainly because my workouts are getting to be so uplifting. I have energy to keep going for an hour of cardio, up from 30mins.
In addition I am up to 40-45mins of weights/resistance training. Very exciting for me.  I am hopeful that the next 10lbs will make a difference with clothes also.

This is a new lifestyle and it takes getting used to.  No more dieting then not dieting, there is no need to diet with my new pouch.  Beck Diet Solutions is very helpful as it deals with mind over matter. It is not a diet/food book.

Thank you all again and please keep your blogs and comments coming I love them

My Story

After years and years of dieting I decided to take the plunge. I hope to have my surgery early April.
I am so excited, I feel 20lbs lighter just making the decision. I am doing this mainly for health reasons, high blood pressure and arthritis. I have 2 wonderful grandchildren and I want to run and jump and play with them. It will be nice to be able to tie my shoelaces also. I enjoy working out at the gym but get tired quickly so that will change I hope.
I am really excited about this new chapter in my life and am not worried or scared at all. I want it done NOW
