My story is like most others. I just turned 22 years old. I am one of the most out going and funniest people you probably ever meet. I love life and all it has to offer. I am tired of all of the excess weight that I am carrying around. I see it that it affects everything socially that I would like to do such as dating and shopping. I'm not doing it just for that but also for my health.I have been over weight since the age of 6. Diabetes and high blood pressure runs in the family. Both grandmothers died from either heart attack or a stroke. My starting weight is 323 and I am 5'9. So I am looking forward to this journey.
My motivation are the people and even some friend that does not agree with my decsion of weight loss surgery. Right now I am finishing up my 3 month pre-op diet for the vertical sleeve. But my surgeon will be Dr. Jeremy Korman and it will be done at the Marina Del Rey Hospital. I met with Dr. Korman March 9, 2011. So this is the beginning of my journey. And if you have any questions, comment, advice, or suggestions let me know. I'm looking for some WLS Pals here in southern California as well to share my journey with. A lot of people just don't understand our life changing decsions and I would like to get to know people that do.

In the mean time...trying out protein drinks and buying vitamins for post op...can't wait to see what I look like skinny as an adult. And I am slowly trying to change my diet and work out routine so I won't go into shock so much post op.
