Surgeon Testimonial

Thomas Sonnanstine M.D.
I went on the june 7th met the doctor was very impressed. I made an appointment to go and talk to him one on one. Im nervous and scared but more worried about my health if I dont go thru with this. well thats about it for today. This was a 2 hour discussion group.rnMet some great people he did their surgery.rnTalked to them after the siminar. Looking forward to my one on one.rnrnHEY LADIES AND GENTS PLEASE REMEMBERrn these are just my personal impressions of my own personal experience and I am making no statements about what other people may experience. rnrnrnrnMy one on one with Doctor Sonnanstine wasrnwonderful. He is very honest answered all my questions. The office staff are wonderful very friendly and helpful and some of them have had surgery and the doc did it! He goes over everything with you the risks, dumping and all, so much info. I do think surgical competence is the most important but folks you get lucky when your doctor has both. And i think he has both! If you havent found a doctor yet check him out. My only dislike is how long it takes to get an appointment for your first visit. Well worth the wait!!! rnrnrnAugust 22ndrnWent to my first nutriun meeting.rnWow wonderful meeting packed full of information. rnrnrnrnrn

Donna! Best wishes tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. Everything is going to be fine... most likely Tuesday will be the worst day as far as pain goes - after that it's all uphill. (Or downhill in terms of the scales!) Good luck!

Time is flying!
on March 13, 2009 3:18 pm
Were has the time gone this time last year I was almost i month out and wondering why! why! why! did I do this.
A few months out the clothes were to big I was losing weight and I knew why.
I went hiking and hiked thru the trails and it wasnt me that stopped every body to rest.
I crossed my legs.  I can fold my arms over my chest. I can skip. I can run.
I breath much better. I no longer snore and my cpap has gone bye bye. No longer on all those meds I traded them in for the Vitamins (lol). I can wipe my rear end without doing a pretzel twist to find it. I can walk without being out of breath.
There are so many things that weight loss has allowed me to do that I couldnt do before so now I look back on the past year and Thank God every day for my new life. I still have a few problems I need to over come I have slipped into the carb monster arms and its  cozy here but i must fight to get out I have 41 more pounds to lose and its very hard to lose when the carb monster wont let go. This little blog was to remind myself were I was if and if I am not carefull I will be at again. Pray for me to have the strength to carry on. God Bless all of you and thanks for your advice and wisdom.

One Year Out Today
on February 25, 2009 11:17 am
Oh my gosh were did the time go! This time last year I was having my RNY Wow has my life style changed. The things I can do now verses last year is amazing!
I have had my wow moments here are the ones I am the most happy with.
1) I can cross my legs!
2) I shop on the other side of the store ( this was hard for me as I still tend to pick up the larger sizes)
3) I can bend over and pick things up and not be out of breath.
4) I ran !!! can you believe it. I RAN
5) OK here is my biggest ever wow moment I can wipe without doing yoga on the toilet. LOL
6) Wear a size large and 12 pants wow!
This year I hope to take up jogging and I am going to get a bike a bike wow I haven't rode
a bike since I was 15.
I was asked if I would do it all over again knowing what I know now and all I can say is YES YES YES of course if you asked me this questions  the first couple months after surgery I would have heck no hang in there newbies it gets better way better.
Thanks to all for the advice and help I received off of this sight what a life saver it has been
