Surgeon Testimonial

Terrence Fullum, M.D.,F.A.C.S.
Dr. Fullum and his staff are wonderful people and have definitely made the journey to WLS a great one! I am so thankful that I followed Dr. Fullum to his new office in Baltimore! During my pre-op visit Dr. Fullum explained every step of the surgery to me in great detail and the program at UM-Baltimore is very thorough and comprehensive. I highly recommend Dr. Fullum and I have heard rave reviews of the program at UMD. I know that my surgery will be a success because Dr. Fullum puts you at ease and answers all your questions.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery! I am post-op Laparoscopic RNY; my surgery was on 5/24/05. Anyway, I will be praying for you, and I know you will come through surgery with flying colors. Pretty soon, you will be a big ol’ loser!! I’m not going to tell you that the first few weeks after surgery will be a bed of roses because it was pretty bad for me. But today, I feel fine and the only thing that I regret is that I didn’t have surgery in 2004 when I first started researching it. So, if you find that you’re having a hard time coping right after surgery, please know that it DOES get better. Don’t ever hesitate to email me if there is anything I can do for you – even if you just need a pep talk! So here’s to you… may you have a successful surgery, improved health, energy galore, many “wow moments”, and fabulous before-and-after pics! God bless! Hugs, Tracy

It's been a long time
on June 15, 2008 6:26 pm
It's been a long time since I've posted but I've been doing extremely well.  I am down to 154lbs. and still feeling great.  I am keeping up with my exercise and watching my caloric intake very carefully.  I still have about 15 more lbs. to lose but I am pleased with my size.

Things are great!!!
on November 28, 2007 9:14 am

I am doing wonderful and still holding between 159 and 161.  I feel great and have come off my high blood pressure meds in less than a year!!!  I met a wonderful man and am having the time of my life with him and enjoying the new found me.  I could not ask for things to be better than they are now and I don't regret taking this step in my life.  I have about 19 lbs. to go until goal and know that within the next 2-3 months that will be gone!  Until next time.....

Life is so wonderful!!!

I just wanted to stop in and post a quick update since it's been so long.  I am down to 159 lbs. with only 19 lbs. to go to my goal weight!!!  I feel great and am so happy with the new me.  It has definitely been a huge transition to deal with but I wouldn't change it for the world.  I am still exercising but I have slowed it down quite a bit and I am now doing o sit-ups and push ups daily.  Hope everyone is doing great and until next time, lets keep losing!

A milestone reached!
on August 9, 2007 6:04 am

Well I haven't posted in some time now, but as of today, in my 9th month, I am down to 168 lbs. and have officially lost 100 lbs.!!  It's a great feeling, although I would like to wear my clothes a little longer than a couple of months.  Everything is going well and I wouldn't change anything for this decision.  I hope everyone is doing well in their weight loss journey and until next time, keep up the losing!!!

Checking in!!!

Well I have not posted in some time now.  Things are going well and I am super pleased with the results.  I am down to 174 lbs. at the end of the 6th month.  I am still working out at least 5 days a week and drinking lots of water.  I feel great for the most part and I would not change a thing!  I started a new job and that is going great and I love the fact that I am a new person (physically and mentally).  I am still being careful to eat the right foods and not eat more than I should.  Anyway, until next time....I will keep losing.

My Story

11/25/2006 - My surgery date is less than a week away and I am excited and nervous.  I have been struggling with my weight all my life and it seems like after I had my son 9 years ago, the weight would not budge.  I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol and many other co-morbidities that run in my family (diabetes, kidney disease) so I want the weight off for good, so I can be healthy.  I saw Dr. Fullum on the 16th for my final pre-op appointment and I weighed in at 261.  I have done my grocery shopping and I am ready for Dec. 1st to get here!
