looking for the best doctor out there to do a revision.
I had surgery done in nov 2000 and started weight of 300 lbs.  and 6 months into the surgery I stopped loosing weight.
I have been to chicago for consultation with dr. e. and he want to put a band around my stomach. well this is n ot what I want to get off the 97 lbs I have to lose.  and  i do'nt know   anyone out there that can share with me of their sucess  with a revision on with a band around and old stoma like mine. so I 'm in the early process of consultation next month. will update later.

I have been approved for a revision of the rny that stopped working 6 months into the surgery.  It has taken this long to get to this point.  6 surgeron and all with different views and only two willing to tell me the truth.  and I have chosen one of them to do the revision for me.  If you are looking into a revision and you need a doctor look up dr. overcash in ocala ,fla.  he repairs other surgeron miss ups. I will be having open surgery next month on the 4th of june wish me luck and a speedy recovery.  I can't wait.
now the other problems I'm having is trying to find a doctor locally to monitor my progress.  They really don't want to have anything to do with you if they did'nt do your surgery.  as large as atlanta area is there are only 1 doctor that will monitor me after 30 days check up.  I really don't know if I will go this route.  will post later after surgery.

Tomorrow I will be leaving going to south georgia two hrs away from ocala, fla. where I will be having surgery on wednesday morning at munroe medical center a revision rny.  I must say it has been 7 long years of carry 236 plus lbs around.  And now all of my close are to small due to me stopping the weight loss medication.  I got fired on taking the pills and some time they would curved the appetite from hell and sometime It was like taking nothin.  you know our body just done work the way it use to due to the surgery.  now I have a very bad case of anemia and no pill can help me with this iron problem.  I have been taking b-12 shots on a weekly bases and  not much change to speak of.  I will go and see a hemetologist when I return home from the revision.  i'm hoping to get off a 100 lbs of weight with this revision.  I have spoken to a patient of dr. overcash and she lost 100 lbs plus with the revision he done for her last year.  I hope I can be the next on. I drove myself home to day  3 1/2 hours drive from my sister home.  I was discharged on friday evening and went to south ga. to recovery at my sister home.. I  went to get pain meds from walgreen for the night.   I did'nt want to use them on the road driving so I used the tylenol.   I had no problem at all.   liquid diet for 3 weeks with protein skim milk and shakes and protein in the pudding.  I  have not weighted myself and I want until I  see the doctor in two weeks. If I  can get the staples pulls out here I want have to make the 5 1/2 trip to fla.  just make the 1-3 months trip and fax all labs and weight to doctor overcash office.  I will get  more information on this tomorrow.
