Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.
I don't eat a lot, however, I eat the wrong foods. I'm scheduled for vertical sleeve next week and I'm so scared. I have read and seen videos of patients that have been successful and others tha have not. I suffer from htn, OSA, osteoarthritis, sob and other symptoms. That's why I'm having surgery, I'm hoping my health gets better.

My Story

I began to battle with obesity after I had my second child. After the pregnancy I did not loose any
of the baby weight. I became ill, had gallbladder out and abdominal hernia repaired. I went on diet pill diet, loss over 40lbs but gained back plus more after pill regimen. I had a third pregnancy (all three by C-section) was a healthy pregnancy, but the weight never came off. I developed HTN, sleep apnea and abdominal became extremely large.

I never thought of becoming so large. Exercise has been very difficult due to joint pain.


I'm hoping with having this wls I can regain my old life back. I like to able to clean without feeling overly tired, go bike riding with my kids and wear clothing without having to worry people looking at my large abdomen.

Dreams can come true...
