Robin P. Blackstone
Dr. Blackstone was awesome and now that she has brought on Dr. Gunsburger it is even better. I was impressed with not only the Doctors but with the staff. I have had a wonderful experience with them and tell eveyone that I meet about how great they are. I am two months post op and would do it all over again...with them.

Well this is weird for me but here goes... I wasn't a FAT child I was "normal" but eveyone called me FAT. I learn who I was by being call by my dad "little fat girl" So I became that person. I take responsibility for my weight and the fact that I let it get so out of control. I would eat to hide the pain that I live with. As a teenager I was shunned by many of the people at school because of my weight and started to use drink and drugs to easy the pain and of course food. Well there comes a time that you have to stop and take account of your actions and your person. This happened for me a couple of years ago when I was told that my husband had been teased at work because of my size. This was the final doughnut!
I found Dr. Blackstone on the internet and then started to make some calls and to talk to people. I spent many hours with my brother online looking into the surgery and talking about what it would mean not only for me but for the whole family. My brother is my rock and I knew that he really wanted me to have the surgery so that I would be healthier. So I went to the class and learned what I thought was everything. HAHA I was impressed that Dr, Blackstone was the one leading the class. I decided that I was having the surgery...now for the insurance. They sent in all the paper work and I sent in the doctors letters and within three weeks I had approval. YEA!!!! I was set for August 15th and I was excited. I had the surgery and I am two months post op and man what a new life. I have lost a total of 67 pounds since I started this journey and so many inches I have had to buy new cloths. I look forward to the changes and the new things that I will be able to do.
Mostly I look forward to going to Washington and showing my family and friends the new and improved me.
