Barbara Schmidt, M.D. F.A.C.S.
From the very start, I felt very comfortable with Dr. Schmidt. She is intelligent (really knows what she's doing) and has a wonderful bedside manner. She came to see me in the hospital twice after surgery to make sure I was doing well. She called me when I got home to see if I had any questions and make sure I was O.K.. I ended up calling her late one night for some problem I was having, and she never once made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Also, great follow up exam.

1 week post-op

so, with the exception of being a bit dehydrated a few days after the surgery. I feel Sooooo much better!.  I am able to walk across the street to get the mail, and have gone on short little trips to Target and Walmart.  Although, I have to go home and rest a bit, I am super excited about my life ahead of me!.. I have tried on some old work scrubs. ( that I outgrew long ago).. and guess what?. They Fit!!!...  I am doing good on the eating, as I am still on the liquid diet for another week. I see my surgeon next tuesday, for my first post-op visit, and she will tell me my official weight loss thus far.  I bought a scale today, but have yet to try it out.  It is also in the 90's today, and that doesnt really help with much. it is a bit muggy as well.    My daughter and I were talking right after surgery, and we still can't beleive that it happened already!. I mean 2 years of prep and planning, and talking it over with my family, the nerves and questions...Its all behind me now, recovery and a much healthier life lie ahead!.. Thanks for all the support so far!!....
