On May 1, 2007 I had gastric bypass surgery. This was my 3rd attempt to have the surgery. God bless all of you on this journey, it's a hard one but with god's help we'll make it!

18 months post op - Update
on August 8, 2008 7:11 am
For those of you that still check in on my site I have updated with some new pictures. Not too much different since the last pictures. However I had been having a lot of stomach pains and back pains. I had been to see my primary doctor numerous times and my mom finally mentioned maybe I should go see my surgeon because they continued to say nothing was wrong. Thank god for my mom. I saw my surgeon 2 weeks ago and he said he wished I would have come to him sooner. He said it sounded like an internal hernia, however before he did the surgery to repair that he wanted to check my gall bladder. He did that and it wasn't working correctly. Therefore a week ago I had surgery and had my gall bladder removed and he also fixed the internal hernia. I have been out of work for a week and am bored out of my mind but the nausea I have had since surgery has been very extreme and I am hoping it is over now so I can get back to normal life. I am happy to have all this taken care of and am hoping that maybe my weight will continue to move now. Anyway that's all for now. Hope everyone is well! Take care!

11 month post op - coming close to a year!
on April 24, 2008 6:33 am
I don't update this page as much as I use too! Sorry for all of you that check it to see how I am doing.
I am proud of how far I have come but I still have so much more I want to do. I would like to lose somewhere between 30-50 more. I seemed to have stop losing and kind of stuck around the same few pouds for awhile.
However I haven't been exercising and that is something I really want to get back into doing. Especially with it being the summer. I am hoping that will help me to reach my goal.
Sometimes I feel like my pouch has stretched because sometimes I eat more than I think I should have been able too but other times 2 bites of something and I feel completely full. So I am glad to know it is till working.
Thanks to all my family and friends who have supported me on this journey! I love you!

The wedding was Saturday! It went beautiful! I was very thankful of everyone who came and was able to make it their to share our special day yet at the same time I was sad and missed those who were unable to make it!
It was a beautiful day and I am happy to now be Amanda Moore!
