Amanda....I hope your surgery went well for you yesterday!!! Remember to sip that water and walk as much as you can. There may be rough days ,,but many brighter days are ahead for you. As you lose more and more you will have alot of wow moments. Share them!! Take pictures often throughout your journey, you will be glad you did. Thoughts and prayers coming your way.. Hi Amanda, I was thinking about you and your surgery day as I was walking in to Fair Oaks Hospital this morning. You know, giving blood to the vampires for some labs. Anyway, I wish you the best and hope everything goes textbook. Hope you're home soonest.

Hey Yaaaaaaaaa
Jibber Jabber from the Underbelly

OMG 1 WEEK...

Im at one week to surgery.... Im very excited, very anxious and nervous too.  I had my first freak otu session and melt down and was overhwelmed with stress of work, surgery and life post op.  Thanks to my ladies on the VA Board they picked me up and all is well after some virtual hugs and a good nights rest.

I am starting to see that food is a fuel not a fix for emotions. I am learning to talk more with my DH about things I am feeling and embracing the things I can not change (Serenity Prayer). As much as I hate scheduling things I am learning to schedule time at work to get things done, which results in less stress at home and I am accomplishing so much...actually being consistent with excercize... and have fallen in love with Water Aerobics. I will miss it while I am recovering.

Deep Breaths each day, crossing things off... and taking one step one day at a time... Looking forward to breaking free and out of this burden I call a fat suit that has been with me whole life.  Saying good by to my emotional eater beater friend inside and embracing my RNY tool to dig out the strong, beautiful and confident me!
