Going Down...
on February 19, 2012 12:58 pm
Okay, so the last few days I have been on just liquids - coffee, water, Adkins shakes, broths, and have lost down to 214.  So as long as I keep it up, then I will succeed in getting back down to my lowest weight of 196 - not too far off - and then down to my doctor's goal weight of about 175, then maybe a little more.  We shall see....

Weight Gained
on February 18, 2012 6:59 am
Okay, so after all this time of me being MIA from this website, I decided to come back.  I am regaining weight  and it is all my fault.  I never got down to my goal weight of what the doctor wanted me to be and that was 175 lbs.  I got down to 196, but now as of this morning, I weighed in at 216.  I am now going back to basics with my all liquids of 2 week pre-surgery, then I will follow what I was doing after surgery.  I have to do something.  I weighed in at 218 two days ago, so I lost 2 lbs in 2 day and I know this is probably only water weight following off.

So here I am again, trying to get back into the weight loss game.....

Gallbladder Surgery
on April 27, 2011 3:03 pm
I had gallbladder surgery on April 21, 2011.  The pain in my right side started about Jan. 2011 and now that I look back, that is when my weight loss was almost non-existent.  4 lbs one month, 5 lbs another, and 3 another, and I thought something was wrong and i could not figure out why I was not losing weight.

Sure, i cheated and ate things I wasn't supposed to eat - who doesn't at one time or another.  but that didn't explain my lack of weight loss.

UNTIL......................

I had my gallbladder removed.

My weight was fluctuating around the 206 area and occasionally dropped down to 202, then back up again.  So the day of surgery, i weighed in at that dreadful number of 206.  Then next day, I weighed in at 202 - not a big deal since that was what was going on before.

And as of right now, my weight this morning - butt naked - was 197.2.  Okay, that is a week tomorrow that I had surgery.  i didn't change the way I ate or anything.  in fact, i went in there around 5:0 pm with my clothes on, just for the hell of it, and I weighed -- 197.8.

Okay, so hopefully I'll wake up in the morning and will be 196.

But why all of the sudden is the weight coming off again?

Coincidence?

We'll see.......

Anyway, my gallbladder,. as i can recall after surgery day, the nurses telling me it was large - no it was very large.  Now they were saying this as I am puking up the bile that decided it wanted up.

That stuff was NASTY!!!!

Anyway, I'm doing better.  Instead of feeling the day of surgery like I was hit by 3 Mack trucks and a Freightliner, I know feel like I've been hit by only 1 Mack truck...and the funny thing is, I actually was hit by a Mack truck in the past.
