Surgeon Testimonial

Tananchai Lucktong, M.D.
My husband and I really liked Dr. Lucktong, he explained everything including all the risks of being obese and all the risks of the surgery. We met in a group setting but there was only one other person. After that we met with him one on one. I really think I made a really good choice. I really enjoyed my consultation but hubby was tired...lol. It was long but well worth it too. I liked Dr. Lucktongs staff as well. Everyone was very nice and they took really good care of us. Dr. Lucktong is going to have me do a sleep study, I was borderline but I am really impressed that he is going to do this. I was actually hoping he would. I am very impressed and really feel like I made an excellant choice.

Wow I can't believe it's been almost 3 years
on September 21, 2009 12:00 am

Well it's been forever since I have been here.  I know I know but well I've been living life.  I am so busy now.  I have a successful business as well as a full time career with the Forest Service.  Hoping to get a warrant so I can go out on fires this next year.  Well I can go out as timekeeper but would like to do more in the procurement area.  Good news I had heard I had to have 24 college credits to do it but just found out I don't...woooot.  So...weeeeee here I go.

Now as far as my WLS I consider myself very successful.  Last year at my 2yr anneversary I had only gained 1 pound from the year before.  That was at 146 now I maintain at 139-142.  I weight myself everyday and eat accordingly.  I'm not really limited on what I eat with the exception of portions.  When I eat sweets I just have like one or two of something.  I also still workout 3 times a week.  I am healthier now at almost 45 then I have ever been.   Yay me...lol.  Please understand that I still have to work at it but it's a lot easier to maintain then it ever was to lose with the exception of the weight loss after surgery.  If you have the surgery and you wish to be successful remember you will have to work at it for the rest of your life.  You can never go back to the way you were.  Shoot to be honest who would want to?  Hmmm lets see 270 at 5'2", tired all the time, unable to enjoy myself at doing anything, unable to do things with my son and husband or 142 healthy and enjoying life.  You be the judge.  Have I slipped?  Yes I have but I picked myself back up and got back to basics.  That is why I weigh myself every day.  I hope and wish for everyone to have the success that I have had.

I haven't been here in like forever.  I just wanted to update.  I am a 2.5 years out and last dr.s appt.  I had only gained 1 lb.  The doc was very pleased.  I am now at 138.8 as of this am.  I just got back from the Outer Banks and had a blast and got very tan.  Even wore a bikini at the pool.  I will update pics of body from ps soon.  Things are going well.  All my lvls except Vit D are good.  I've always been low on that.  I am still working out.  I love it.  I feel strong and healthy.  I never thought I would feel this good.

I saw my friend Julie at my son's b-day party and omg she looks fabulous.  Way to go Julie, I am so very proud of you.

Suggie biz is really good.  I have a waiting list for my joeys and recently got 2 hedgies and will breed them in about 6 months.  I love me some critters.  We now have 13 sugar gliders, 2 pugs, 2 hedgehogs, 2 bunnies, 2 hermit crabs and a hamster.

OMG Haven't been here in forever.

Well things are going really well.  I stay within 2-3 lbs of 140.  Everything is going well.  Still have some stiffness and some numbness in my rear end...lol.  I need to get back to the gym.  I hurt my knee and haven't been for a couple of months.  Plus I've been working late so I can save up time to take off with my son during the Holidays.  Hopefully things will get back to normal after the new year.

The suggie biz is doing great.  I have a pair classic grays, a trio with two classic gray females and a 66% het leu male, a pair of 100% het leu's that have blessed me with a Leu (white glider with black eys) and 3 66% het leus.  I kept the first litter, and she just had twin boys come out of the pouch on Christmas day.  I also have my leu paired with a white face blond male from my wfb pair.  I think that about covers it...lol.  I just adopted out a little wfb female.  So as of right now I have 13 gliders.  They take a lot of work and love and care but I wouldn't change it for the world.  I never would have had the energy to do this when I was obese.  Can you imagine having to clean out 5 6' cages all the time...lol.

PS appointment today!
on September 4, 2008 2:40 pm
Had a checkup today so he could see how the infection is doing.  He said it is getting better and that I no longer need to wear the compression garment.  He also gave me the all clear to work out.  I'm going to start back next week.  See if I can't get back to some type of schedule.  It will be hard getting back into it but I am excited and looking forward to it.  He also said the scars are looking good too.

I just realized I have been a member for 2 years.  Wow time has flown by.  I cannot believe the changes that have taken place in my life.

Wooohoooo I am so excited.  What does it mean?  It means credibility and I will also be able to breed more then 3 females.  I have plans for 6 breeding females.
