Surgeon Testimonial John Koppman M.D.  What was your first impression of him? He was very young looking and very sweet! How would you describe his office staff? His office staff is very nice. What should future patients know about him? He hasn't practiced at Sinai Hospital very long. How much does he emphasize aftercare? His practice is very adamant about aftercare. I'm Home...
Ok first off I want to thank everyone for there well wishes and prayers! My surgery went well, it was at 12pm on Friday. So I had to be at the hospital friday morning at 10am so they could prep me for the surgery. While I was waiting the doctor came in to see how I was doing and said that he wanted to to speak with me in privacy and asked the nurses to leave the room. So he tells me that has was offered another job in Florida where he is originally from and where most of his family is from, and that he has accepted the job offer and he will be leaving the practice in the next few weeks. He asked me if I would like to have the surgery done by his associate, but of course I told him no I had been waiting to long with too much prepartion to reschedule the surgery. So of course I got a little teary eyed when he told me but I am ok with it. So anyway they took me back to the OR at 12pm and everything went perfectly there were no problems at all. I woke up in the recovery room and no sooner they took me to my regular room which was huge I felt so lucky. I didnt get too much rest but if course I didnt think I would. So saturday rolled around and they had me get up out of bed and start walking...which I felt bad because I kept passing another lady in the hall that had just had the surgery herself. They sent me to get the x-ray done with contrast to make sure there were no leaks, and there were none thank God! So needless to say I got to come home today at 7pm and I am feeling pretty good! WooHoo welcome to the losers bench. Congratulations! I was thinking of you the past few days and said many prayers that you would be ok, and you are. So I guess God heard me lol. Get plenty of rest and hurry up and feel better! Glad you are done :) Hugz Tina

I'm so glad that things went well! How is your hubby doing? I think that is my worry... that my hubby will freak out! Congratulations! Only a couple more months until I join the 'losers club'!
