I have a Surgery date of 6/26/06. I am having gastiric Bypess Surgery ! There I said it. I am a 37 year old mother of 3, a wife and a full time employee, I am tired of being "Chubby", and for the first time in my life doing something for me. (well for my kids too...I want to see them growup and I dont want them to be ashamed of their fat mom) I am so excited I cant see straight, on the other hand I am so nervous. My Mom had surgery 2 years ago and has lost 178 lbs. (I wish I was already there :) She has had minimal complications and for the most part would lay back down tomorrow and do it all over again, I completely trust this is true or I would have never had the courage to look into surgery. I see all the wonderful support there is on this website and would love to correspond with some of you that have been where I am and understad the emotions that I am going through or will go through. — Amie Straiton
